Top gainers and losers on December 11: Adani Enterprises, Jio Financial Services, Tata Steel rises over 2.57%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks snapped their two-day losing streak on Thursday, December 11, led by gains in index heavyweights like JDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Reliance Industries, Eternal, Infosys, Tata Steel and Maruti Suzuki.

The benchmarks staged a gap down opening but soon staged a recovery and SENSEX rose over 750 points from the day's lowest level and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 25,922 after hitting a low of 25,693 earlier in the session.

The SENSEX ended 427 points lower at 84,818 and NIFTY50 index declined 141 points to close at 25,899.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Adani Enterprises was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 2.65% to close at ₹2,270 after its ₹25,000 crore rights issue witnessed strong response and was oversubscribed by 108%.

Jio Financial Services (2.63%), Tata Steel (2.57%), Eternal (1.38%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (2.06%) were also among gainers in the NIFTY50 index.

On the flipside, Asian Paints (-1%), SBI Life (0.86%), Bharti Airtel (-0.63%), Power Grid (-0.28%) and ONGC (-0.22%) were among the notable losers in the NIFTY50 index.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY MIdcap 100 index jumped 0.97% or 570 points to close at 59,578. As many as 79 shares ended higher while 21 closed lower.

Premier Energies was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock climbed 5.8% to close at ₹914.45. Vodafone Idea (5.04%), Dixon Technologies (4.96%), BSE (4.5%) and Persistent Systems (3.18%) were also among gainers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

On the other hand, Supreme Industries (-2.13%), AU Small Finance Bank (-2.08%), M&M Financial Services (-1.84%), Aditya Birla Capital (-1.49%) and Cochin Shipyard (-1.36%) were top losers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index rose 0.81% or 138 points to close at 17,228. Market breadth was extremely positive as 76 shares in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index ended higher while 24 closed lower.

Ola Electric was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock rose 6.73% to close at ₹36.65. Natco Pharma (5.36%), IRCON (4.75%), Kfin Technologies (4.49%) and Angel One were also among the gainers.

On the contrary, MRPL (-2.51%), Aster DM Healthcare (-1.91%), Castrol India (-1.55%), Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (-1.52%) and Triveni Turbine (-1.48%) were top losers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
