Top gainers and losers on August 14: Wipro, Eternal, Infosys shares rise over 1.5%; check fill list

The Indian equity benchmarks ended Thursday's rangebound session on a positive note led by gains in index heavyweights like HDFC Bank, Infosys, Eternal, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Asian Paints and Bharti Airtel. However, the gains were capped owing to losses in Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, ITC, Larsen & Toubro and Hindustan Unilever. The SENSEX ended 58 points higher at 80,598 and NIFTY50 index advanced 12 points to close at 24,631.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Wipro was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock rose 2% to close at ₹246.50 after The Economic Times reported that Warburg Pincus and Wipro were in advanced talks to buy Harman’s India business of digital transformation solutions (DTS).

Eternal (1.71%), Infosys (1.50%), HDFC Life (1.47%) and Asian Paints (1.19%) were also among the gainers.

On the flipside, Tata Steel (-2.81%), Adani Ports (-1.38%), Hero MotoCorp (-1.27%), Tech Mahindra (-1.20%) and Tata Consumer Products (-1.01%) were top losers in the NIFTY50 index.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index fell 0.31% or 177 points to close at 56,504. As many as 68 shares in the index ended lower while 32 closed higher.

Max Healthcare was top loser in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock fell 4.92% to close at ₹1,216 after its net profit advanced 30% to ₹308 crore in June quarter.

Vodafone Idea (-2.99%), Apollo Tyres (-2.96%), NHPC (-2.96%) and SAIL (-2.94%) were also among losers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

On the other hand, Muthoot Finance was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock surged 10% to close at ₹2,754.70 after it posted a standalone profit after tax (PAT) of ₹2,406 crore in Q1 FY26 as against ₹1,079 crore seen in Q1 FY25, an increase of 90% YoY.

Loan assets under management (AUM) stood at ₹1,20,031 crore in Q1 FY26 as compared to ₹84,324 crore in Q1 FY25, registering a growth of 42% YoY.

Kalyan Jewellers (3.36%), Tata Consumer Products (3.24%), Ola Electric (2.96%) and GMR Airports (2.39%) were also among the gainers.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index fell 0.38% or 67 points to close at 17,547. As many as 70 shares in the index ended lower while 30 closed higher.

Bata India was top loser in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock fell 3.82% to close at ₹1,055. Brigade Enterprises (-3.61%), ITC (-3.60%), Natco Pharma (-3.38%) and Aegis Logistics (-3.25%) were also among the laggards.

On the flipside, Manappuram Finance (3.76%), Credit Access Grameen (2.98%), Reliance Power (2.32%), Newgen Software Technologies (2.26%) and Neuland Laboratories (1.81%) were gainers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
