Top gainers and losers on April 6: Trent, SBI Life, Titan shares rise over 3.58%; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks rose for a third straight session on Monday, April 6, after a report suggested that Iran and the United States have received a plan to end hostilities that could come into effect on Monday and ‌reopen the Strait of Hormuz, news agency Reuters reported citing a source aware of the matter. The SENSEX rose as much as 1,479 points from the day's lowest level and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday high of 22,998.35 after hitting a low of 22,542.95.

The SENSEX ended 787 points higher at 74,106.85 and NIFTY50 index advanced 253 points to settle at 22,965.80.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Trent was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock ended 8% higher at ₹3,384 after the company said that it opened a total of 22 Westside stores in March quarter and 52 stores during FY26. The company added that it opened a total of 108 Zudio stores in last quarter of FY26 and a total of 198 stores in FY26.

Its revenue in the last quarter of previous financial year (Q4FY26) rose 20% annually to ₹4,937 crore from ₹4,106 crore in the same period last year. For financial year 2025-26, Trent's revenue jumped 18% annually to ₹19,701 crore as against ₹16,668 crore in the previous financial year.

SBI Life (3.74%), Titan (3.58%), Adani Enterprises (3.56%) and Shriram Finance (3.5%) were also among the top gainers in the NIFTY50 index.

On the flip side, Reliance Industries (-3.3%), ONGC (-2.04%), Max Healthcare (-1.23%), Eicher Motors (-0.86%) and JSW Steel (-0.77%) were among the notable laggards in the NIFTY50 index.

NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index rose 1.52% or 816 points to close at 54,492.65. As many as 84 shared ended higher while 16 closed lower.

Kalyan Jewellers was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 6.5% to close at ₹420. L&T Finance rose 5.68% after its retail disbursements surged 62% to ₹24,080 crore in the fourth quarter of previous financial year (Q4FY26) from ₹14,899 crore in the same period last year.

Godrej Properties (5.22%), Vishal Mega Mart (5.22%) and NMDC (4.5%) were also among the gainers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

On the other hand, GE Vernova T&D (-2.58%), Oil India (-2.1%), Marico (-1.43%), Swiggy (-1.29%) and Astral (-1.26%) were top losers in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

Neuland Labs was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock rose 5.36% to close at ₹13,100. RBL Bank (5.32%), Kaynes Technologies (4.66%), PNB Housing Finance (4.41%) and Signature Global (4.34%) were also among the top gainers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.

On the contrary, Tata Chemicals (-2.61%), Piramal Finance (-2.35%), MRPL (-1.81%), Sai Life Sciences (-1.56%) and Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (-1.2%) were top losers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
