NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY50 index was supported by buying in the shares of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, which closed 6.62% higher, despite reporting a 31% YoY decline in its consolidated net profit to ₹925 crore in the September quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q2 FY27), from ₹1,347.1 crore in the year-ago period.

Dr. Reddy's consolidated revenue stood at ₹867.08 crore during the quarter, down 1.5% YoY but up 7% QoQ. The company said its growth was impacted primarily on account of lower lenalidomide revenues in North America.

However, the company saw its standalone profit after tax (PAT) rise 59.37% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹3,677.03 crore during the quarter under review, as against ₹2,307.18 crore in the second quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q2 FY26).
