SUMMARY
Rising for the second day, the SENSEX climbed 110.87 points or 0.13% to close at 85,720.38. Furthermore, the NIFTY50 ended marginally higher by 10.25 points or 0.04% at 26,215.55.

During the day, SENSEX hit a record high of 86,055.86, reflecting a jump of 446.35 points or 0.52%, while the NIFTY50 rallied 105.15 points or 0.40% to reach an all-time high of 26,310.45
Rising for the second day, the 30-share BSE SENSEX climbed 110.87 points or 0.13% to close at 85,720.38. Furthermore, the 50-share NSE NIFTY ended marginally higher by 10.25 points or 0.04% at 26,215.55.
The NIFTY50 pack was led by Bajaj Finance, which advanced 2.43%.
ICICI Bank (1.37%), Shriram Finance (1.33%), Hindustan Unilever (1.23%) and Bajaj Finserv (0.95%) were among the top gainers on November 27.
On the other hand, shares of Adani Enterprises closed 2.85% lower. This comes after the conglomerate, on Tuesday, launched subscriptions for one of India's largest rights issues, offering shares at ₹1,800 apiece, a discount of roughly 24% to the approval date price.
The other top losers included Eicher Motors (-2.70%), Eternal (-1.52%), ONGC (-1.51%) and Maruti Suzuki India (-1.51%), which tried to drag the index down.
The NSE Midcap gauge ended at 61,113.15, marking a 51.45 points or 0.08% jump, supported mainly by Ashok Leyland, which surged 6.67%.
During the trading session, the stock rose as much as 8.76% to hit a fresh 52-week high of ₹162 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after its board of directors approved the scheme of merger by absorption of Hinduja Finance Limited into NDL Ventures.
Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services (4.04%), Coromandel International (3.22%), KPIT Technologies (2.02%) and Coforge (1.92%) were among the other top winners.
On the flipside, Motilal Oswal Financial Services fell 3.69%.
It was followed by Indian Bank (-2.28%), Waaree Energies (-2.18%), Hitachi Energy India (-1.73%) and Swiggy (-1.69%), which were among the top laggards.
However, the NIFTY Smallcap index fell by 95.05 points or 0.53% to settle at 17,876.80.
It was weighed down by a decline in Whirlpool of India (-11.54%), Natco Pharma (-4.79%), Kaynes Technology India (-3.60%), Radico Khaitan (-3.57%) and PG Electroplast (-3.32%), which were among its top losers.
Conversely, its top gainers included Tejas Networks (4.27%), Gillette India (3.79%), BLS International Services (2.69%), Ola Electric Mobility (2.31%) and Laurus Labs (2.07%).
