Top gainers and losers, Nov 24: BEL falls 3%, JSW Steel down over 2%, SBI Life rises nearly 3%; check full list

Top gainers and losers: The Indian benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, closed in negative territory for the second straight session on Monday, November 24, under selling pressure due to losses in index heavyweights like Reliance Industries, Mahindra & Mahindra, ITC, Bharat Electronics, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finance despite positive cues from global markets.

The NIFTY 50 declined by 108.65 points or 0.42% to close at 25,959.50. Meanwhile, SENSEX settled at 84,900.71, down by 331 points.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Bharat Electronics weighed down the NIFTY50 index, slipping 3.23%.

It was followed by JSW Steel (-2.43%), Max Healthcare Institute (-2.38%), Grasim Industries (-2%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (-1.67%), which were among the top losers on Monday.

On the other hand, SBI Life Insurance Company closed in the green (2.6%). Tech Mahindra (2.42%), Eicher Motors (1.62%), Bajaj Auto (1.38%) and Wipro (1.21%) were the day’s top gainers.

NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers

NSE’s NIFTY Midcap 100 gauge declined 0.32% or 194.70 points to close at 60,081.60 on November 24.

The index was dragged down by Exide Industries, which lost 3.29%. The other losers were Prestige Estates Projects (-3.23%), Tata Elxsi (-2.98%), Kalyan Jewellers India (-2.84%) and Indraprastha Gas (-2.65%).

On the flip side, ACC Ltd surged as much as 5.46%.

The other top winners included Swiggy (5.07%), Indraprastha Gas (4.57%), Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services (3.85%) and Waaree Energies (3.16%), which were among the top gainers.

Swiggy, along with Eternal, recovered from early losses after India’s new labour codes came into effect.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY Smallcap 100 index declined by 0.85% or 151 points to close at 17,696.50.

Its top losers included Anant Raj (-6.94%), Reliance Power (-4.81%), BEML (-4.46%), Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation (-4.27%) and Tejas Networks (-4.25%).

On the contrary, Inventurus Knowledge Solutions (7.91%), Jyoti CNC Automation (5.33%), NBCC (India) (3.23%), Aptus Value Housing Finance India (3.23%) and Castrol India (3.03%) were among the top gainers.

Shares of NBCC surged after it informed the exchanges that it won an order worth ₹45.09 crore from Canara Bank for the construction of the official premises for the regional/circle office building of Canara Bank in Ranchi. In a separate exchange filing, NBCC said that it won an order worth ₹29.49 crore from the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities for project management consultancy (PMC) services for the construction of a new campus for the composite regional centre (CRC) in Tamil Nadu.
