Tata Investment share price: Shares of Tata Investment Corporation Ltd (TICL) rose as much as 5% on Tuesday, March 4, after a report said that Tata Capital is eyeing a valuation of around $11 billion for its mega IPO.

TICL is among the largest shareholders of Tata Sons, the holding company for Tata Capital.

Tata Investment shares climbed to an intraday high of 5.09% to ₹6,235 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. At 9:30 am, the stock was up 4.41% to ₹6,178.5 per share.

Tata Group is seeking a valuation of around $11 billion for Tata Capital, which could make it India's largest initial public offering (IPO) this year, Bloomberg reported.

The report said the Tata Capital IPO could raise as much as $2 billion, adding that the details could change as deliberations are underway.

Last week, Tata Capital said its Board has approved an IPO of the equity shares of ₹10 face value each comprising a fresh issue of 23 crore equity shares and an offer-for-sale by certain existing and eligible shareholders.

The company stated its Board has given green light to "Initial Public Offering of the equity shares of face value of ₹10 each ('Equity Shares') comprising of (i) a fresh issue of up to 23,00,00,000 (Twenty Three crore) Equity Shares and (ii) an offer for sale of Equity Shares by certain existing and eligible shareholders of the company, subject to market conditions, receipt of applicable approvals, regulatory clearances and other relevant considerations."

Tata Capital must list on stock exchanges by September 2025 as per the Reserve Bank of India's regulations for "upper layer" non-banking financial companies (NBFCs).

Tata Capital and its subsidiaries provide financial services in areas like wealth services, consumer loans, commercial finance and the distribution and marketing of Tata Cards.
