Tata Investment Corporation Limited (TICL) shares rallied 11.5% to hit a 52-week high of ₹8,125 apiece on Tuesday, September 23, as the company received shareholder's approval for the stock split, or subdivision of shares, that it announced earlier.

The investment firm has approved the subdivision of each fully paid-up equity share with a face value of ₹10 into 10 fully paid-up equity shares with a face value of ₹1 each. It has fixed Tuesday, October 14, 2025, as the “Record Date” for the corporate action.

“…we wish to inform you that the Company has fixed Tuesday, October 14, 2025, as the ‘Record Date’ for the purpose of determining the eligibility of shareholders for subdivision of existing 1 (one) equity share of face value of Rs. 10/- (Rupees Ten Only) each fully paid up into 10 (ten) equity shares of face value of Re. 1/- (Rupee One Only) each fully paid up,” Tata Investment Corporation said in a regulatory filing post market hours on September 22.

Following this, shares of Tata Investment Corporation zoomed on Tuesday. At 2:45 PM, the stock was trading at ₹8,069 apiece, soaring 10.82% on the National Stock Exchange.

Over the last five trading sessions, Tata Investment Corporation shares have gained 14%, while the stock has risen 17% over the past month. In the last six months, it has surged more than 26%, and since the beginning of the year, the stock has delivered a return of over 18%.

On August 4, 2025, Tata Investment Corporation had said that its board had approved the subdivision of the existing equity share having a face value of ₹10 each into ten equity shares having a face value of ₹1 each (1:10 ratio), fully paid-up subject to the approval of the shareholders and any regulatory approvals.

Tata Investment Corporation Q1 earnings

TICL had reported an 11.6% increase in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at ₹146.3 crore for the first quarter ended June 30 (Q1 FY26), 2025, on higher dividend income. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹131.07 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

Consolidated total revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at ₹145.46 crore, as against ₹142.46 crore logged in the year-ago period.

Total expenses were marginally higher at ₹12.15 crore, as compared to ₹11.77 crore logged in the same quarter a year ago.
