Suryoday SFB shares gain 5% as disbursements grow 27% YoY, asset quality improves in Q2

Suryoday SFB share price: Shares of Suryoday Small Finance Bank (Suryoday SFB) gained as much as 4.6% to hit an intraday high of ₹150.19 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday, October 5, compared with the previous session’s closing price of ₹143.55 apiece.

This comes as the small finance bank reported its business updates for the July-September quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q2 FY27), posting a 34.6% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its gross advances to ₹14,972 crore during the quarter under review, after considering a write-off of ₹591 crore.

It had clocked gross advances of ₹11,124 crore in the second quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q2 FY26), according to a regulatory filing.

Its disbursements jumped 27.4% YoY to ₹3,095 crore in Q2 of FY27, as against ₹2,430 crore in the same period of the preceding fiscal year.

The Bank posted 35% YoY growth in total deposits to ₹16,184 crore for the reporting quarter, up from ₹11,991 crore in the September quarter of FY26.

Suryoday SFB recorded a 26.8% YoY rise in its Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) deposits to ₹3,142 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, from ₹2,477 crore in the year-ago period.

The bank saw its asset quality improve, as its gross non-performing assets (GNPA) contracted by 360 basis points (bps) quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 2.9% during the reporting period, compared with 6.5% in the first quarter of FY27 (Q1 FY27).

Board appoints Alok Pathak as the Chief Risk Officer

In a separate regulatory filing dated October 1, the bank’s board of directors, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Risk Management Committee, approved the appointment of Alok Pathak as the Chief Risk Officer.

The appointment, effective from October 1, 2026, will be valid for a period of three years up to September 30, 2029.

Suryoday SFB share performance

At around 12 PM, the stock of Suryoday SFB stood at ₹144.62 per equity share, marking a 0.75% increase.

While the scrip has lost 5% over the month, it has climbed 2% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis. The shares hit a 52-week high of ₹218 per unit on July 24, 2026, and touched a year’s low of ₹115.41 apiece on February 24, 2026.

Suryoday SFB has a total market capitalisation of ₹1,534.83 crore as of October 5, 2026, according to data on the NSE.
