The Indian equity benchmarks are set to open on a flat note as indicated by NIFTY futures traded at Gift City in Ahmedabad. NIFTY futures at Gift City also known as Gift NIFTY futures rose 0.09% or 23 points to 24,739 amid stable cues from other Asian markets. In yesterday's session, the SENSEX and NIFTY snapped their three-day losing streak led by gains in HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel.

Here are stocks to watch in Thursday's session:

REC: The state-run company's board has approved raising funds up to ₹1.55 lakh crore via private placement of unsecured/secured non-convertible debentures.

"The funds will be raised, in one or more tranches, during a period of one year from the date of passing of resolution by the shareholders, with the approval of Competent Authority," REC said in an exchange filing.

Honasa Consumer: The promoter of Mamaearth informed exchanges that NCLT’s Delhi bench has approved merger Fusion Cosmeceutics and Just4Kids Services with itself.
Hindustan Aeronautics: The state-run aircraft maker has clarified that negotiations with GE are on track and progressing well and that HAL is not in talks with any other company regarding engines for LCA MK2. Any information suggesting otherwise is incorrect.

The clarification came after a report by IDRW.org claimed that negotiations between HAL and General Electric (GE) for the local production ofGE414 engines have stalled.

Escorts Kubota: The company has launched a new product 'BLX 75' (Backhoe Loader under E-Kubota Brand) in its construction equipment segment.
Waaree Energies: The company's promoters will be selling shares in its arm Indosolar Limited to comply with minimum public shareholding requirements.

Waaree Energies promoters will be selling 4,76,495 equity shares starting today via offer for sale (OFS).

Power Grid: The company has informed exchanges that it has acquired MEL Power Transmission Limited.

"MPTL has been acquired by POWERGRID pursuant to POWERGRID emerging as the successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding. MPTL is engaged in the business as that of POWERGRID i.e. transmission of power," the company said in an exchange filing.

Newgen Software: The company informed exchanges that it has won an award from a customer for the procurement of Enterprise Workflow & Content Management System. The aggregate value of the aforesaid Award is $2.5 million.
Gland Pharma: The HYderabad-based drugmaker informed exchanges that Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé (ANSM), France, has issued its final report citing 11 observations, in pursuance of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspection of Cenexi’s Fontenay Manufacturing Facility (material subsidiary of Gland Pharma) between December 9-19.
CESC: The Kolkata-based company informed exchanges that its subsidiary Purvah Green Power has entered into an agreement with Envision Energy India Private Limited for supply and commission of wind turbine generators (WTG) totaling 1 GW.
KEC International: The RPG Group company has secured new orders worth ₹2,211 crore across various business segments.
