The bank is in the middle of a leadership transition that will see ICICI Group veteran Anup Bagchi taking over as managing director and chief executive later this month, becoming the first outsider to don the mantle.

It also announced that incumbent Deputy Managing Director Kaizad Bharucha has decided to leave.

YES Bank: Private sector lender YES Bank on Saturday reported a 63.2% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,084.08 crore in the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (Q2 FY27).

However, the financial results of the bank for the reporting quarter do not reflect the potential financial impact of the ruling of the Supreme Court on the bank's write-down of Additional Tier-1 (AT1) bonds worth ₹8,415 crore.

Oberoi Realty: Oberoi Realty Ltd's sales bookings jumped sevenfold year-on-year to ₹9,149.69 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal year (Q2 FY27) on strong sales from its first Delhi-NCR housing project.

Reliance Industries (RIL): The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken action against Reliance Retail for the second consecutive day on Sunday, suspending the licences of its warehouse in Chakan along with that of a Blinkit-linked facility in Nighoje, both in Pune district, officials said.

The FDA inspected Reliance Retail Ltd's warehouse at Chakan in Khed taluka on October 14 and found that the establishment failed to produce satisfactory records regarding the disposal or destruction of expired and spoiled food products, it said.

A large part of the loan growth was courtesy of the FCNR(B) concessional swap scheme, and the bank said that excluding loans provided by international branches against such deposits, advances growth stood at 24.1%.

Similarly, on the deposits front, overall growth stood at 27.1% and excluding diaspora deposits, it would have been 17%, according to a bank statement.

This is the first quarterly numbers after the government earlier this week approved the sale of a 60.72% stake in IDBI Bank to Canada's Fairfax Financial Holdings for about ₹53,000 crore ($5.5 billion), in what would be the largest foreign investment in an Indian bank and a major milestone in the country's long-delayed banking privatisation drive.

Its total income rose to ₹9,865 crore in the second quarter from ₹9,594 crore a year ago, IDBI Bank said in a regulatory filing.

Punjab National Bank (PNB): After posting a quarterly net profit of ₹5,500 crore in the September quarter (Q2 FY27), Punjab National Bank (PNB) is targeting ₹6,000 crore in income over the next few quarters, its Managing Director and CEO Ashok Chandra said.

The country's second-largest lender has maintained consistency in operating profit, net profit and other key parameters over the past four quarters, and expects this trend to continue, Chandra told PTI in an interview.

PNB has already posted a net profit of ₹5,500 crore and is targeting further growth in operating profit, which would also support an increase in net profit, he said.

For the second quarter ended September 2026, PNB reported a 13% rise in net profit to ₹5,532 crore, driven by improved core income and a moderation in bad loans. The profit recorded was the highest ever in a quarter.

Oil-linked stocks: Elevated crude oil prices will keep oil-sensitive stocks in focus. Brent crude touched $110 a barrel on Friday for the first time since May, before easing slightly.

Sustained high oil prices could weigh on oil marketing companies such as IOC, BPCL and HPCL by putting pressure on marketing margins if retail fuel prices are not raised.

Aviation stocks such as InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) could also remain under pressure as higher aviation turbine fuel (ATF) costs weigh on operating expenses.

Meanwhile, upstream oil producers such as ONGC and Oil India could benefit from higher crude prices, which may support their realisations.

DLF: India's biggest realty firm DLF Ltd will launch housing properties worth ₹58,000 crore over the next 2-3 years to encash high demand for its luxury homes from end users and investors.

At the start of the 2024-25 fiscal, DLF had said that it would launch 37 million sq ft area over the next few years with an estimated revenue potential of ₹1,14,500 crore.

In its latest investor presentation, DLF Ltd said it has launched 14 million sq ft area in the last two and a half years with revenue potential of more than ₹56,000 crore.

“50% launched in the first 2.5 years…healthy pipeline for the medium term (₹58,000+ crore),” DLF said.

The company will launch around 24 million sq ft area in the medium term with sales value of over ₹58,000 crore.

FMCG stocks: FMCG companies face sustained margin pressure in the second half of the current fiscal year as rising input costs squeeze profitability, with firms weighing post-Diwali price hikes against the risk of hurting consumer demand, particularly in price-sensitive mass-market and rural categories.

Input-cost pressures intensified in the September quarter, reversing some of the moderation seen in the preceding quarter, which squeezed margins even as companies absorbed part of it to protect consumer demand during the festive season.

The increase has been uneven across commodities, with crude-linked derivatives, packaging materials, palm oil and sugar emerging as key pressure points, said Naveen Malpani, Partner and Consumer Industry Leader at Grant Thornton Bharat.
