Stocks to Watch: The domestic stock market will likely open on a muted note on Friday, June 6. The GIFT NIFTY futures suggest that the NIFTY50 index will open 14 points lower.
Here is a list of stocks that may remain in focus today.

Coal India: State-owned CIL on Thursday said it has entered into a pact with Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Ltd to develop the rail infrastructure of the coal behemoth and its arms.

The non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between both companies in Kolkata.

"Coal India Ltd (CIL) and Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Limited have executed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 05.06.2025 at Kolkata with the intent of developing the rail infrastructure of CIL and its subsidiaries," the maharatna firm said in a BSE filing.

SpiceJet: NCLT, the insolvency tribunal, has directed three aircraft lessors of low-cost carrier SpiceJet to file a valid Power of Attorney existing at the present point in time.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) direction came during a hearing on the petitions filed by the three lessors – AWAS 36698 Ireland, AWAS 36694 Ireland and AWAS 36695 Ireland.

Three aircraft lessors filed insolvency pleas against SpiceJet over a default of Rs 77 crore in April 2024.

However, earlier this week, when the NCLT started hearing on June 2, it was pointed out that the person who had filed a petition on behalf of these lessors, his power of attorney was valid till February 11, 2025.

JSW Energy: JSW Energy on Thursday announced the commissioning of a 281 MW renewable energy project in Maharashtra with a solar capacity of 215 MW and a wind capacity of 66 MW.

This capacity addition will enable the company to benefit from the peak wind season during the year and will contribute to the overall renewable output, a company statement said.

With this, the installed wind capacity stands at 3,482 MW, solar capacity at 1,968 MW and hydro capacity at 1,391 MW, taking the share of renewables in the overall capacity to 55%.

Further, JSW Renew Energy Three, a step-down subsidiary of the company, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd for STU-connected wind capacity of 250 MW.

Cipla: Drug maker Cipla on Thursday said it has been certified as a water positive organisation by Bureau Veritas (BVQi) for its India operations.

As of FY 2024-25, 67% of the company's domestic manufacturing units operate with Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems, it said in a statement.

"At Cipla, we recognise that water is a critical resource and are committed to responsible usage across our operations," Cipla MD and Global CEO Umang Vohra said.

ICICI Prudential Life: ICICI Prudential Life Insurance on Thursday said it disbursed over ₹900 crore as loans against traditional policies to over 42,700 customers during fiscal year 2024-25.

In a release, the insurer said it has seen an increasing adoption of the loan against policy feature among its customers, with a 60% year-on-year rise in loan disbursal last fiscal year.

A loan against a policy provides liquidity to meet unexpected financial obligations.

The loan feature not only enables customers to meet short-term liquidity needs but also ensures the long-term savings plan is uninterrupted, said Amish Banker, Chief Operations Officer, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.

Wockhardt: Drugmaker Wockhardt on Friday said its novel antibiotic Zaynich has an addressable market opportunity of $7 billion in the US and Europe.

The company said it has completed a pre-NDA (non-disclosure agreement) meeting with the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) in May 2025.

Filing to the USFDA is slated in the second quarter of the current fiscal year with a potential launch in FY2026-27, Wockhardt Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

The company plans for regulatory approval for the product in Europe and emerging markets in the second half of the current financial year, it added.

IREDA: Shares of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), the state-owned Navratna company, will be in focus on Friday, June 6.

The PSU on Thursday, June 5, said its board has fixed the floor price for qualified institutional placement (QIP) at ₹173.83 per equity share to raise about ₹5,000 crore.

The development comes after the IREDA board in January this year approved a QIP to raise up to ₹5,000 crore. Subsequently, the proposal was cleared by the company's shareholders in February. READ MORE
Power Grid Corporation of India: State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India on Thursday announced the acquisition of MEL Power Transmission, a special purpose vehicle (SPV), from PFC Consulting, entailing an investment of ₹558 crore.

PFC Consulting is a subsidiary of the state-owned Power Finance Corporation.

The SPV will establish a transmission system for the evacuation of power from Mahan Energen's generation station in Madhya Pradesh on a BOOT (build, own, operate, transfer) basis, according to a company statement.

The project is about the establishment of a 400 kV D/c transmission line and associated bays at the existing Rewa PS (PG) substation in Madhya Pradesh and will cater to the reliable power evacuation of Mahan Energen Ltd (2x600 MW) Generation Station of Madhya Pradesh, the statement said.

Ashoka Buildcon: The company said it has received letters of intent (LOIs) for the five circles – Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Marathwada, and Konkan and Western Maharashtra.
Block deals today: According to news reports, Bajaj Finserv and ZF Commercial are expected to see large trades today.

Reports say promoter entities are planning to sell shares worth ₹5,800 crore via open market transactions, while ZF Commercial's promoter Wabco will sell ₹720 crore worth of shares via a block deal.
