As many as 40 securities hit their 52-week high levels on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) on Friday, December 27, as the equity benchmark indices traded in the green.
At 12:00 pm, the NIFTY 50 index was trading at 23,856, up 106 points, or 0.45%. The BSE SENSEX, meanwhile, jumped 334 points, or 0.43%, to trade at 78,807.
The volatility index, or India VIX, plunged 5.8% to 13.22. All the sectoral indices traded in the green, except the NIFTY Realty and NIFTY Consumer Durables indices, fell 0.4% and 0.2%, respectively.
Jubilant FoodWorks, which runs franchise restaurant chains such as Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin Donuts in India, announced on Thursday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Coca-Cola India to purchase the latter's portfolio of sparkling beverage products. The move will allow Jubilant FoodWorks to serve Coca-Cola and other products of the US beverage company at the outlets of its franchise restaurant chains.
Oberoi Realty on Thursday announced that it has acquired 81.05 acres of land in Alibaug, Raigad district of Maharashtra, to build luxury villas and a five-star hotel after executing a development agreement with landowners. The company also took physical possession of the land upon execution of the agreement.
The consideration for the transaction to landowners is in the form of revenue and area share from the residential project.
Sagility India is a technology-enabled pure-play healthcare-focused solutions and services provider that supports US-based payers, healthcare providers and their partners.
