SUMMARY

On Monday, the NIFTY50 index traded above the 24,250 level in the green, while SENSEX gained over 1100 points to trade above the 80,200 level. Paras Defence, Marine Electricals, Sky Gold and Kernex Microsystems (India) hit the 5% upper circuit.

Domestic equity bourses, NIFTY50 and SENSEX, are trading in the green, advancing by 1.50% and 1.38% respectively. The Nifty Midcap 100 index and the Nifty Smallcap 100 index are trading in the green, increasing by 1.78% and 1.91%, respectively.

On the NSE, 94 stocks hit the upper price band (Upper Circuit) and 21 stocks hit the lower price band (Lower Circuit).

Paras Defence and Space Technologies

Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd hit the 5% upper circuit limit at ₹1,025.70 in the early morning session of Monday. The company has taken significant strides towards establishing India's first Optical Systems Development Park. The company recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art Optical Systems Testing Facility in Navi Mumbai. This strategic move signifies a substantial investment of ₹500 crore over the next few years to foster innovation and technological advancement in the field of optics.

Paras Defence and Space Technologies (PDST) is a Private sector company primarily engaged in designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing various defence and space engineering products and solutions. The company caters to four major segments: Defence and Space Optics, Defence Electronics, Heavy Engineering, and Electromagnetic Pulse Protection Solutions. It has a market capitalisation of ₹4,063 crore.

Marine Electricals (India) Limited

Shares of Marine Electricals (India) Limited were locked in the 5% upper circuit limit at ₹236.32 in the early morning session of Monday. Today, the company has secured significant orders worth ₹12.93 crore (excluding taxes). The company has received an order from Cochin Shipyard Limited to supply Base & Depot Spares for the ASW & SWC Project, to be delivered over eight months. Additionally, Kutch Copper Tubes Limited (Adani Group) has placed an order for the supply of LT Panel for the Mundra Site Project, with a delivery timeline of four months.

Marine Electricals (India) Limited is an integrated technical services provider in the fields of electrical automation and information and communication technology solutions. It has a market capitalisation of ₹ 3,259.90 crore.

Sky Gold Ltd

Sky Gold hit the 5% upper circuit today at ₹4,156.50 in the early morning session of Monday. Recently, the company declared strong financial results for Q2FY25. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations for Q2FY25 stood at ₹768.8 crore, registering a growth of 94.2% on a YoY basis and 6.3% on a QoQ basis. PAT for Q2FY25 stood at ₹36.7 crore, registering a growth of 405.2% as compared to the same quarter for the previous year.

Earlier this month, the company announced that its board had approved the issue of bonus shares in the 9:1 ratio. This means that it will issue nine new bonus equity shares of ₹10 each for every one existing equity share of ₹10 each, and the record date is yet to be announced.

In the last one year, shares have risen by 350% and over the past two years, it has shown an increase of 2,360% in its price. Sky Gold designs, manufactures, and markets gold jewellery. It has a market capitalisation of ₹6,066.76 crore.

Kernex Microsystems (India) Ltd

Shares of Kernex Microsystems (India) hit the 5% upper circuit limit in the morning session of Monday at ₹990.20. Incorporated in 1991, Kernex Microsystems manufactures and sells Safety Systems and Software services for Railways.

Recently, the company declared strong financial results for Q2FY25. On a consolidated basis, Total Income for Q2FY25 stood at ₹41.48 crore, registering growth of 2384% on a YoY basis and 43.48% on a QoQ basis. PAT for Q2FY25 stood at ₹6.81 crore, compared to a net loss of ₹4.53 crore in the same quarter last year. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹1,640 crore.
