Oswal Pumps shares gain 8% on bagging ₹273 crore solar rooftop order in Telangana; key details

Oswal Pumps share price: Shares of vertically integrated solar pump manufacturer Oswal Pumps rallied as much as 8.3% to hit an intraday high of ₹296.35 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday, September 23, compared with Tuesday’s closing price of ₹273.60 per unit.

This comes as the company secured an order from the Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TGREDCO) for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of 2 kilowatt (kW), 5-kW, and 10 kW on-grid solar rooftop photovoltaic (PV) power plants across 9,937 government schools in 33 districts of Telangana.

The project, worth ₹273.19 crore (excluding GST), covers an aggregate capacity of 46,705 kW (46.7 MW) and includes Mono Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC)/Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCON) solar modules, along with standard structures and remote monitoring systems (RMS).

According to a regulatory filing, the order also includes comprehensive maintenance for a period of five years.

The project is expected to support the adoption of renewable energy infrastructure across educational institutions in Telangana while contributing to the state's broader clean energy objectives, the firm added.

Commenting on the development, Vivek Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Oswal Pumps Limited, said: “We are pleased to secure this order from TGREDCO for the development of 46.7 MW of rooftop solar capacity across 9,937 government schools in Telangana. This marks our first major order from Telangana and an important milestone in expanding Oswal Pumps’ presence into new markets. Being selected as the successful bidder for a programme of this scale underscores the strength of our technical and execution capabilities.”

Gupta further stated that the company remains committed in delivering this project with a strong focus on “quality, timely delivery and long-term performance”, and looks forward to establishing a presence in Telangana while contributing to the State’s clean energy goals.

Oswal Pumps stock performance

At around 11:00 AM, the scrip was trading 5.94% higher at ₹289.85 per equity share.

The shares have advanced more than 7% in the past week but fallen 3% over the month. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, they have declined 45%.

While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹802.90 per equity share on September 23, 2025, it reached a year’s low of ₹266.45 per unit on September 16, 2026.
