At 1:25 pm, the S&P BSE SENSEX was trading at 80,256.64 levels, up 780.01 points, or 0.98%. The NSE NIFTY50 index of the NSE was ruling at 24,362.15, up 148.85 points, or 0.61%.

Hindustan Zinc: Shares of
Hindustan Zinc (HZL) declined as much as 8.1% to ₹514.10 apiece on the BSE on Wednesday, November 6, as the government announced last evening it would sell up to a 2.5% stake in the company at a floor price of ₹505 per share through an offer for sale (OFS).
The stake sale would fetch over ₹5,000 crore at the floor price.
The two-day OFS opens for institutional bidders today, and for retail investors, it will open on Thursday.
Titan Company: Titan Company shares were trading over 1.6% lower after the company reported a weak set of numbers for the September quarter.
Titan on Tuesday, November 5, reported a 23.1% year-on-year (YoY) drop in its consolidated net profit at ₹704 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024 (Q2 FY25).
GAIL India: Shares of
Gas Authority of India (GAIL) zoomed as much as 6.89% to ₹209.95 apiece on the BSE on Wednesday, November 6, a day after the company reported financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2024 (Q2 FY25).
The state-owned energy corporation with primary interests in the trade, transmission, and production distribution of natural gas on Tuesday reported a 10% rise in the September quarter net profit to ₹2,689.67 crore compared to ₹2,442.18 crore logged in the same period a year ago.
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders: The stock was trading 2% higher at ₹4275.30 apiece on the BSE. The company on Tuesday, November 5, reported a 75.7% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit at ₹585.08 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024 (Q2 FY25).
Dixon Technologies: Shares were trading over 8% higher at ₹15,600.65 apiece on the BSE. The company on Tuesday notified the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Dixon Teletech, to make components for IT hardware products.
Oil India: Shares of Oil India were trading 6% higher at ₹524.85 apiece on the BSE. The company saw consolidated net profit attributable to the owners of the company rise 3.79 times. Net profit more than tripled to ₹2,016.2 crore, up from ₹420.6 crore in the corresponding period of FY24.
Sequentially, the net profit rose 6.91% from ₹1,885.78 crore recorded in Q4 FY23, as per a report by Business Standard.
NIIT Ltd: Shares of NIIT Ltd were trading 14% higher at ₹185.90 apiece on the BSE. Net profit of NIIT rose 11.18% to ₹11.83 crore in the quarter ended September 2024 as against ₹10.64 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2023. Sales rose 11.42% to ₹90.71 crore in the quarter ended September 2024 as against ₹81.41 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2023.
Waaree Energies: The stock was trading over 3% higher at ₹3,590 apiece on the BSE. The company in today's trade crossed a milestone of ₹1 lakh crore market capitalisation. Waaree Energies manufactures and supplies solar panels. Its operating segments include solar photovoltaic modules, power generation, and engineering, procurement, and construction contracts (EPC).
