NIFTY, SENSEX extend losses; Symphony, IEX, Bajaj Finserv, Mirza International among buzzing stocks

Equity benchmark indices NIFTY and SENSEX tumbled on Friday, July 25, dragged down by NBFC major Bajaj Finance and foreign fund outflows.

SENSEX dropped 613 points to 81,570, while NIFTY declined 0.81% points to 24,857 at 1 pm.

From the NIFTY50 firms, Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank, and Bajaj Auto were also among the laggards.

SBI Life, HDFC Life, Apollo Hospital, UltraTech Cement, Dr Reddy's, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, and Eternal were the gainers.

Buzzing stocks on July 25

Symphony share price: Electronics and home appliances products maker Symphony's Board on Friday reviewed and confirmed that the previously declared divestment/monetisation of stake in Climate Technologies Pty Limited, Australia, will also be extended to include the divestment/monetisation of stake in Symphony AU Pty Ltd (SAPL).

SAPL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Symphony and was formed as a special purpose vehicle in 2018 to acquire Climate Technologies. "SAPL is the holding company of CT and holds 100% of CT’s equity shares," the company said in an exchange filing.

The stock is down 1.19% to ₹1,115.7 apiece on the NSE.

IEX share price: Shares of Indian Energy Exchange rose as much as 12.9% to ₹149.40 per unit on the NSE. This comes after the company reported more than a 25% rise in its consolidated post-tax profit to ₹120.69 crore in Q1 FY26 as against ₹96.44 crore a year back.
The total income stood at ₹184.17 crore in the latest June quarter, up 19.2% from ₹154.47 apiece in the same period a year ago. What is market coupling, and why is it shaking up IEX?

Its electricity volumes advanced 14.9% year-on-year (YoY) in Q1FY26 to 32.4 billion units (BUs).

Bajaj Finserv share price: Shares of the NBFC giant fell 3.5% to ₹1,960.3 apiece despite the company posting a 30.46% surge in its consolidated profit after tax attributable to the owners of the firm at ₹2,789.05 crore in the latest June quarter, compared to ₹2,137.7 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Its revenue from operations advanced 12.57% to ₹35,439.08 crore in Q1 FY26 as against ₹31,479.93 crore a year back.

Mirza International: Shares of the leather footwear manufacturer were trading with 11.6% gains at ₹36.76 apiece on the NSE after India and the United Kingdom signed a landmark free trade agreement.

While India opened its market to goods such as biscuits, chocolates, and cosmetics, it will get greater access to export products like textiles, footwear, jewellery and gems, toys, and sports goods.

ITC share price: Shares of diversified FMCG ITC were down 0.28% to ₹408.80 per unit on the NSE. Sanjiv Puri, the chairman of the company, speaking at the Annual General Meeting on Friday, said the firm will invest ₹20,000 crore in the medium term to swell its manufacturing footprint across sectors.

He stated that the firm has already established eight new manufacturing plants in recent years as part of its growth strategy.
