NBCC wins order worth ₹3,700 crore from Rajasthan Government; shares surge over 1%

Shares of NBCC advanced as much as 1.38% to an intra-day high of ₹105.02 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday, August 25. This comes after the PSU inked a deal worth approximately ₹3,700 crore with the Government of Rajasthan.

The project was approved by the Government of Rajasthan’s Cabinet for the development of Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre and other urban development and innovation projects.

The navratna construction company was selected as the lead agency to design, build, and market the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre, Global Capability Centre (GCC) Tower, IT Tower, luxury hotels, and new commercial and residential infrastructure.

This project, with an overall estimated investment reaching approximately ₹3,700 crore, will be established on 95 acres of Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO) land along the B2 Bypass, Tonk Road, NBCC said in a regulatory filing.

“The project’s scope is ambitious and future-oriented, with plans for the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre to be developed on approximately 25 acres of land parcel. The planned Rajasthan Mandapam, with over 2 lakh sq. mtr. of built-up area, is envisioned as a 7000-7,500-seat world-class convention,” the statement said.

NBCC June quarter result

The state-owned firm reported a 26% year-on-year (YoY) in its consolidated net profit to ₹132 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1FY26). In the corresponding period last year, it stood at ₹104.6 crore.

Its revenue from operations improved 11.6% YoY to ₹2,391 crore during the quarter under review, compared to ₹2,145.2 crore in the June quarter of FY25.

At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), also known as operating profit, surged 20.3% YoY to ₹110 crore in Q1FY26, as against ₹91.7 crore in the first quarter of the previous fiscal.

Its EBITDA margin expanded to 4.6% during the reporting period, from 4.3% in Q1FY25.

Shares of NBCC closed 0.78% higher at ₹104.4 apiece on the NSE on Monday.
