NBCC signs MoU to execute NHPC's infra projects across India; all you need to know

NBCC India share price: State-owned NBCC on Friday, August 28, said that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to execute NHPC's infrastructure projects across the country.

In a regulatory filing on Friday, NBCC said it has signed a MoU with the NHPC for the execution of latter's infrastructure projects, primarily comprising buildings, structures and allied works, on a pan-India basis.

Under the MoU, NBCC will provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services and undertake specific NHPC infrastructure projects on a deposit work basis.

The scope includes design, engineering, project management, procurement, construction, quality control, installation, commissioning, and statutory compliances, along with handing over of completed projects.

"While NHPC brings extensive experience in the hydropower and clean power sectors, NBCC contributes its established expertise in planning and execution of diverse infrastructure projects in accordance with government guidelines," the statement said.

In a separate regulatory filing dated August 27, the company said said it bagged multiple work orders aggregating to ₹134.27 crore.

It received construction orders from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT: Odisha, Bhubaneshwar and from Canara Bank.

NBCC is into PMC and real estate businesses.

NBCC Q1 results

NBCC (India) clocked a consolidated net profit of ₹154.83 crore in the June quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27), reflecting a 17.2% year-on-year (YoY) jump from ₹132.13 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal year.

Its revenue from operations declined 5.56% YoY to ₹2,259.53 crore during the quarter under review, as against ₹2,392.49 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

NBCC stock performance

Shares of NBCC closed 0.73% lower at ₹87.50 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday, August 28. However, the announcement was made after the markets closed.

The scrip has lost more than 1% in the past week and 7% over the month. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has declined 28%.

While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹125.85 per equity share on December 29, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹77.18 apiece on March 30, 2026.
