NBCC shares jump over 5% after selling ₹2,353 crore worth of residential units in Greater Noida

Shares of state-owned NBCC rallied over 5% after it informed about selling 1,046 residential units worth ₹2,353 crore in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida region.

“This is hereby to inform you that NBCC (India) Limited has successfully sold 1,046 residential units at Aspire Centurian Park, Greater Noida (W), U.P., through an e-auction at a total sale value of approximately ₹2,353 crores,” the company said in a statement to the stock exchanges on Wednesday.

Following this, shares of NBCC were trading 5.05% higher at ₹83.76 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.

Over the last five trading sessions, the scrip has gained 6.6%. However, for a six-month period, from September 19, 2024, the stock has declined over 27%. Year-to-date, NBCC shares are trading 10.15% lower, while over a year, it had soared 14.6%.

According to NSE data, NBCC’s market capitalisation is at ₹22,304.70 crore.

The company shares had touched their 52-week low this month, on March 3, at ₹70.80 per share. The stock’s one-year high was attained on August 28, 2024, at ₹139.83 apiece.

Previous orders

Last month, the Navratna PSU firm had bagged a construction order worth ₹264.16 crore from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra. The construction will be undertaken under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode.

In January, the company had won multiple orders. NBCC had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) worth ₹3,500 crore with Sarkari Awas Nirman Avam Vitt Nigam Ltd for the construction of a mixed-use property in Lucknow.

Of all the orders received in January by NBCC, the largest one was worth ₹151.93 crore and was awarded by the Hindu College, University of Delhi, for the planning, design and execution of the construction of the “Centre for Advance Studies”.

During the same time, NBCC was also awarded a contract valued at ₹118.64 crore for planning, designing, and constructing the development of facilities at Fakir Mohan University (Vyasa Vihar), Balasore.

NBCC’s December quarter

For the October-December quarter, NBCC had reported a 25.05% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹138.48 crore as compared to ₹110.74 crore in the same quarter last fiscal year.

The surge in its net profit came on the back of a 16.65% YoY jump in the company’s revenue from operations, which stood at ₹2,826.96 crore in Q3 FY25. The revenue was at ₹2,423.52 crore in the December quarter of Q3 FY24.

Its EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation) stood at ₹142 crore in Q3 FY25, jumping 22% from ₹116.8 crore in the year-ago period. The EBITDA margin was at 5% in comparison to 4.8% in Q3 FY24.
