NBCC shares gain on bagging orders worth ₹658 crore

NBCC shares: Shares of the state-owned construction company NBCC (India) Ltd rose as much as 1.07% to hit an intraday high of ₹84.07 on the BSE on Wednesday, March 26 after the company informed exchanges that it has won two orders worth ₹658 crore. The company has bagged ₹439 crore contract from the Uttarakhand Investment and Infrastructure Board (UIIDB). On the National Stock Exchange, NBCC shares rose as much as 1.13% to hit an intraday high of ₹84.10.

As part of ₹439 crore order, the company has to execute revitalisation of Rodi Belwala, development of Sati Kund and surrounding areas, revitalisation of Har ki Pauri and Subhash Ghar and redevelopment of parking and commercial area at upper road opposite railway station in Haridwar, Uttarakhand

NBCC has also secured another contract worth ₹219.45 crore from the Centre for Development of Telematics, according to a regulatory filing on Tuesday.

The contract from Centre for Development of Telematics is for project management consultancy (PMC) services for planning, supervision, construction and development of various buildings including data centre, housing and hostels, technical block and residential buildings at C-DOT Campus in Mehrauli, New Delhi.

Last week, the company informed exchanges that it successfully sold 1,046 residential units at Aspire Centurian Park, Greater Noida West, UP through an e-auction. The total sale value of the residential units was approximately ₹2,353 crore. The company will get 1% as marketing fee of sale value.

In the quarter ended December 2024, NBCC reported net profit of ₹128.59 crore, marking an increase of 37% from ₹94 crore in the same period last year. Its revenue from operations advanced 7% to ₹2,047.77 crore from ₹1,918.60 crore in the year-ago period.

NBCC shares have so far this year declined 10% underperforming the NIFTY50 index which is up 0.10% year-to-date (YTD). The stock ended 2.54% lower at ₹83.18 on Tuesday.

As of 9:21 am, NBCC shares traded 0.54% higher at ₹83.63 outperforming the SENSEX which was up 0.12%.
