NBCC India shares rise 6% after company secures order worth ₹411 crore

NBCC India shares rise 6% after firm discloses order win worth ₹411.45 crore

Shares of NBCC (India) rose nearly 6% on Monday after the firm said its wholly-owned subsidiary has won orders for the construction of a medical college.

NBCC said in an exchange filing that its subsidiary HSCC (India) has won an order for the construction of a new government medical college of 100 student capacity and a 430-bedded hospital at Buldhana from the government of Maharashtra. The approximate value of the order stands at ₹411.45 crore.

Recently, NBCC (India) said it has been entrusted with the execution of construction and development of an incubation centre at NIT Patna (Bihta Campus). The estimated cost of the project stood at approximately ₹36 crore.

The firm also received a work order for overseeing the comprehensive development of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack, Odisha. The project is valued at approximately ₹250 crore, and aims to enhance infrastructure across the university's main campus and Mahanadi campus. The scope of the project included the construction and development of various key facilities with more than 45,000 square metres of built-up area.

The month of July also witnessed a key management change at the firm. Suman Kumar took over as Director (Commercial) of the firm beginning July 02.

During the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024, the company reported a 43.05% rise in its operating income at ₹4,024.50 crore. Total revenue rose 42.19% YoY to ₹4,075.86 crore while net profit rose 24.52% to ₹141.49 crore during the quarter.

Meanwhile, the board of directors of the firm recommended a final dividend of ₹0.63 per paid up equity share.

NBCC (India) is a government of India Navratna Enterprise. The firm is organised into three market-focused segments: project management consultancy, engineering procurement and construction, and real estate.

Shares of the company have risen by nearly 126% since the beginning of the year. The stock has gained nearly 301% in the last one year.
