Ashok Leyland total sales dropped 4% to 14,923 units in May 2025, compared year-on-year with 15,484 units in the same period a year ago, according to the latest exchange filing.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles' (PV) total sales jumped 42% in May 2026 to 59,790 units, from 42,040 units in May 2025 amid healthy domestic market demand in the market, according to an exchange filing. The total sales for TMPV includes its electric vehicles (EV) sales numbers as well.

NSE data released on June 1 showed that Tata Motors CVs international sales dropped 9% to 2,066 units in the month of May 2026, when compared with 2,275 units in the same period a year ago.

Eicher Motors’ VE Commercial Vehicles sales in the domestic market rose by 9.1% to 7,375 units in May 2026, compared with 6,758 units in the same period a year ago, according to the latest filings.

Under this business vertical of Eicher Motors, the company sells tucks and buses in the domestic market and also exports to the foreign buyers.

Total exports declined 17.2% to 414 units in the period under review, from 500 units in the same period a year ago.

TVS share price jumped around 1.8% to ₹3,418 during the intraday trading session on Monday, June 1, after the sales data release, compared to ₹3,355.70 at the previous market close, according to NSE data.

TVS expanded its international sales by 49% to 175,991 units in May 2026, from 118,437 units in May 2025.

The company’s two-wheeler sales witnessed a growth of 48% to 158,546 units in May 2026, compared with 106,879 units in the same period a year ago.

TVS electric vehicle business recorded a 56% jump in sales to 43,632 units in May 2026, compared with earlier 27,976 units in May 2025, as per the official announcement.

TVS Motor Co.’s sales for the month of May 2026 increased by 31% to 5,66,585 units, compared to 4,31,275 units in the same period a year ago, according to the latest business update filed with NSE.

Maruti Suzuki shares were trading 0.69% lower at ₹13,037 after the stock's initial jump of nearly 1% post the monthly sales business update released on June 1. The automaker's stock closed at ₹13,127 on the previous trading day last week.

Maruti Suzuki's total export sales surged 34% to 41,914 units in May 2026, compared with 31,219 units in the same month of the previous year, according to the latest business updates.

Maruti Suzuki mini & compact passenger car sales witnessed a 42% rise to 97,830 units in May 2026, compared with 68,736 units in the same period a year ago, according to the official filings.

The data further showed that both the mini passenger car sales as well as the compact/mid passenger car sales witnessed healthy growth in the month under review.

Mini passenger car sales for cars like Alto and S-Presso rose 140% to 16,275 units, compared to 6,776 units in the same period a year ago.

While the compact/mid passenger car sales for cars like Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, etc., increased 44% to 79,267 units, from its earlier 54,899 units in the same period a year ago, according to the exchange filing.

Maruti Suzuki total sales for the month of May 2026 surged 34% to over 2,42,688 units, compared year-on-year with 180,077 units in the same period a year ago, according to the official release on June 1.

Ola Electric attributed the May 2026 rising sales data to the strong demand in its Roadster portfolio as the company aims to remain focused on accelerating EV adoption through innovative products and technologies.

Ola Electric's sales for the month of May 2026 advanced 23% month-on-month (MoM) to 15,139 units, from 12,323 units in April 2025, according to Vahan data cited in the official filing.

“It represents a 23% MoM increase, building on the recovery momentum seen in the months of March and April 2026,” the company informed the stock exchanges.

Mahindra & Mahindra share price was trading 1.6% lower at ₹2,996.80 on Monday, June 1, compared to ₹3,045.60 at the previous stock market close, according to NSE data.

The company's shares were trading lower after M&M's automotive division head flagged that the company's demand was constrained by the supply chain challenges at select suppliers due to manpower shortages.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s commercial vehicle sales up 89% to 12,536 units in May 2026, excluding its three-wheeler electric vehicle business, compared with 6,635 units in the same period a year ago.

Mahindra and Mahindra's (M&M) passenger vehicle sales for the month of May 2026, witnessed 11% growth to 58,021 units, from 52,431 units in the same period a year ago, as per the filing data.

In the NSE filing, Escorts Kubota said that the near-term headwinds for the company remain due to the rising input costs, which are also likely to affect customer affordability and input availability.

“Near-term headwinds include rising input costs, particularly fertilisers, softer prices for select cash crops, and evolving geopolitical developments, which could affect customer affordability and input availability ahead of the Kharif season,” according to Escorts Kubota’s official filing.

Escorts Kubota exports in the month of May 2026 dropped 35% year-on-year to 423 units, compared to 651 units in the same period last year, as per the official filing.

Haryana-based tracker maker, Escorts Kubota's sales for May 2026 increased 18.9% year-on-year to 12,310 units, from its earlier 10,354 units, largely driven by the rise in domestic sales rather than exports, according to official filings.

Hyundai Motor shares jumped 2.75% higher to ₹1,977 after the opening bell on Monday, June 1, compared with ₹1,924 at the previous stock market close, according to NSE data.

Bajaj Auto shares were trading 0.92% higher around ₹10,550 after the opening bell on Monday, June 1, compared with ₹10,460 at the previous stock market close, as per NSE data.

Hyundai Motor India has already witnessed a 13% rise in sales in the first two months of the first quarter of the financial year ended 2026-27 to 99,739 units, from 88,235 units in the same period a year ago.

“In the first two months (April and May) of FY27, HMIL witnessed domestic sales rise by 13% to 99,739 units, compared to 88,235 units in the same period of FY26,” said Tarun Garg, the MD and CEO of Hyundai Motor India.

Hyundai Motor India's domestic sales rose 9.1% YoY to 47,837 units in May 2026, contributing to the total sales increase of 4.4% to 61,137 units in the same period.

"HMIL reported total monthly sales (Domestic plus Exports) of 61,137 units in May 2026," the company informed the stock exchanges.

Bajaj Auto’s exports in the commercial vehicles business sales jumped 65% to 29,550 units in May 2026, compared YoY with 17,930 units in the same period a year ago, as per the NSE filings.

The automaker's two-wheeler exports rose 30% to 1,83,676 units in the period under review, from 1,40,958 units in the same period a year ago.

India's largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki India, share price is set to be in focus of the stock market investors as the company is set to release its May 2026 sales data on June 1.

After Friday's trading session, Maruti Suzuki shares closed 1.77% lower at ₹13,127, compared to ₹13,364 at the previous market close, as per NSE data.
