Maruti, in its press release, said that it sold a total of 180,077 units during May 2025. This is 3% higher than 174,551 units sold in the year-ago period.
Though most of the segments saw a decline on a year-on-year (YoY) basis, the company's exports witnessed good growth.
Maruti's total export sales stood at 31,219 units against 17,367 units sold in May 2024.
The company said that the Mini + Compact Segment saw sales of 68,278 units. The sales were 78,108 units in May 2024.
The models in the mini segment include Alto and S-Presso, and the compact segment entails Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR.
Its mid-size model, Ciaz, saw the sales of 458 units against 730 in May 2024.
The total sales for this segment stood at 68,736 units. It was 78,838 units in May 2024.
This segment entails utility vehicles such as Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, XL6, and vans such as Eeco.
Total PV sales stood at 135,962 units. It was 144,002 units in the year-ago period.
This came in at 138,690 sales against 146,694 units.
The sales figure stood at 10,168 units against 10,490 units in May 2024.
The sales figure was 148,858 against 157,184 units in May 2024.
It increased to 31,219 units from 17,367 units.
The auto major said its consolidated net profit declined by 1% year-on-year to ₹3,911 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025, on account of higher expenses.
The country's largest carmaker reported a net profit of ₹3,952 crore in the January-March quarter of FY24.
Total revenue increased to ₹40,920 crore in the March quarter last fiscal as compared with ₹38,471 crore in the year-ago period, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a regulatory filing.
