In an exchange filing, the advanced digital maps and deep-tech company announced that it has expanded the capabilities of its flagship Mappls App with the introduction of multimodal public transport routes, allowing users to access details about metro, bus and rail routes directly on the app.

With this addition, Mappls will allow its over 40 million users to view public transport routes, stops, stations, and interchange options, helping commuters plan more efficient and sustainable journeys.

The public transport feature is live in select cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Pune, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Kolkata, Indore, Patna, Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Kochi, Bhopal and Jaipur.

Rakesh Verma, co-founder, chairman and managing director of MapmyIndia Mappls, said, "The launch of multimodal public transport routes on the Mappls App is a direct outcome of listening to our users. We want the Mappls App to be more inclusive and accessible for every citizen. We are pleased to begin rolling out this feature across select cities and will continue expanding coverage to make public transport more convenient for millions of Indians.
