L&T wins large order up to ₹5,000 crore in international markets; shares trade lower

L&T share price: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) manufacturing arm secured a series of international large orders on Friday, July 24, worth between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore.

However, the L&T stock slipped 2% to touch an intraday low of ₹3,720 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. At 11:58 AM, the stock was trading 0.72% at ₹3,765 per share.

L&T Heavy Engineering bagged international orders across Asia, Africa, North America, South America and Europe. The business has secured orders from Africa’s largest industrial conglomerate, Dangote Group, for a mega refinery and multi-train fertiliser expansion projects in Nigeria and Ethiopia.

The scope includes the supply of critical process equipment, comprising the world’s largest Fluid Catalytic Cracking Reactor Regenerator Package, all critical urea and ammonia equipment, the company said.

Larsen & Toubro, in a regulatory filing, also said that it has secured a repeat order from a Japanese client for the manufacture and supply of heat exchangers and absorbers for an LNG project in Canada.

The company added that it has also received additional orders for its core equipment, including coke drums, fractionator columns and heat exchangers, from customers in Spain, the US and Brazil.

Commenting on the development, Anil Parab, Whole-time Director and Senior Executive Vice President—Manufacturing, L&T, said, “These orders reaffirm the trust and confidence that customers place in L&T’s world-class manufacturing capabilities and its consistent track record of delivering high quality process equipment to global clients.”

L&T had achieved consolidated revenues of ₹285,874 crore for the year ended March 31, 2026, registering a YoY growth of 12% driven by steady execution progress across businesses. International revenues during the year stood at ₹153,738 crore, constituting 54% of total revenues, reflecting improved execution in the Overseas Projects & Manufacturing portfolio.

The group's consolidated order book as of March 31, 2026, stood at an all-time high of ₹ 740,327 crore, reflecting a 28% growth over March 2025. International orders constituted 52% of the overall order book.

L&T share price trends

From the beginning of the year, L&T shares have declined nearly 9%. Over a month’s time, the stock has slipped over 9%, while it has been flat in the past six months.

Shares of the firm had hit a 52-week high of ₹4,440 on February 24, 2026, and a 52-week low of ₹3,288.10 on March 23, 2026.

According to NSE data, as of July 24, 2026, L&T has a total market capitalisation of ₹5.21 lakh crore.
