L&T Finance Q3 business update: Retail disbursement surges 49% YoY to ₹22,690 crore; shares soar to 52-week high

L&T Finance share price: Shares of L&T Finance surged as much as 2.86% to a fresh 52-week high of ₹329.45 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday, January 6, after the Larsen & Toubro subsidiary reported its business update for the third quarter of the 2025-26 financial year (Q3FY26).

At around 9:57 am, the stock was trading 2.03% higher at ₹326.80 per equity share.

The scrip has surged nearly 7% in the past week and more than 5% over the month. On a year-to-date basis, it has gained approximately 3%.

It reached a year’s low of ₹129.20 per equity share on January 13, 2025.

The company posted an approximate 49% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its retail disbursements (or retail finance) to an estimated ₹22,690 crore during the quarter under review.

In the December quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q3FY25), the firm had logged ₹15,210 crore in retail finance, it said in a regulatory filing on Monday.

L&T Finance’s disbursement from the rural business stood at ₹6,740 crore for the third quarter of FY26, marking a 46.55% annual jump from ₹4,599 crore in the corresponding quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year.

It clocked ₹2,780 crore in farmer finance for the reporting quarter, up by 11.48% YoY from ₹2,495 crore in the third quarter of FY25.

During the December quarter of FY26, it witnessed a 48.06% annual surge in urban finance to ₹9,670 crore, compared to ₹6,531 crore in the year-ago period.

SME finance grew by 24.1% annually to ₹1,550 crore in the quarter under review, as against ₹1,249 crore for Q3FY25.

L&T Finance logged ₹1,400 crore in gold finance for Q3 of FY26, the filing added.

The Mumbai-based company’s acquired portfolio grew 63.69% YoY to ₹550 crore during the quarter under review, from ₹336 crore in the December quarter of FY25.

The firm’s retail loan book at the end of the third quarter of FY26 was at ₹1.12 lakh crore (or ₹1,11,900 crore), reflecting a 21% annual increase from ₹92,224 crore.

Its realisations rose marginally to 98% from 97%, the filing stated.

L&T Finance has a total market capitalisation of ₹81,735.82 crore, as of January 6, 2026, according to data on the NSE.
