KPI Green Energy allotted over 1.06 crore equity shares for the issue. Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) and BofA Securities Europe SA – ODI were the investors who received more than 5% of the equity shares offered in the issue, the firm said in a release.
Following the allotment, the paid-up equity share capital of the company stands increased to ₹65.63 crore consisting of over 13.12 crore equity shares of face value of ₹5 each.
During the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, KPI Green Energy’s total revenue rose 83.6% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹349.9 crore. The firm’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 87.8% YoY to ₹132.40 crore. Net profit rose 98.5% YoY to ₹66.1 crore during the quarter while profit margin increased to 18.9% from 17.5% in the same quarter a year ago.
The firm installed over 28 megawatts (MW) of capacity in the first quarter taking its total installed capacity to over 473 MW till Q1FY25.
The firm had also ventured into a hybrid model, combining solar and wind energy which is designed to mitigate the infirmities inherent in single-source renewable energy systems and provide a more stable power supply and improve grid stability. It has over 68 MW of installed capacity till Q1FY25 and has cumulative confirmed orders of over 1 GW till August 7, 2024.
KPI Green Energy develops, builds, owns, operates and maintains solar and hybrid power plants as an independent power producer (IPP) and as service provider to captive power producers (CPP) under the brand name of 'Solarism'.
Shares of the firm have risen over 111% since the beginning of the year. The stock has gained nearly 248% in the last one year.
