Jupiter Wagons shares surge 8% after subsidiary receives letter of acceptance for supply of LHB axles

Shares of Jupiter Wagons rose as much as 8.08% to hit an intraday high of ₹345 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after the company post market hours on Wednesday informed exchanges that its arm received a letter of acceptance from Indian Railways.

Jupiter Wagons said that its subsidiary Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory Private Limited received letter of acceptance from Ministry of Railways, Railway Board for supply of total 9,000 LHB Axles for FIAT-IR Bogies, with an aggregate order value of approximately ₹113 crore.

"We are thrilled to announce that our material subsidiary, Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory Private Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) dated September 9, 2025 from Ministry of Railways, Railway Board. This LOA pertains to the supply of total 9,000 LHB Axles for FIAT-IR Bogies, with an aggregate order value of approximately Rs. 113 crore," Jupiter Wagons said in a regulatory filing.

The vehicle is perfectly suited for intra-city freight movement, last-mile delivery, and FMCG distribution — sectors where uptime, load efficiency, and emissions reduction are critical business drivers.

Jupiter Wagons Q1 earnings

Jupiter Wagons' net profit in first quarter of current financial year declined 63% to ₹33 crore from ₹89 crore in the same period last year.

Its revenue from operations declined 54% to ₹411 crore as against ₹895 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's EBITDA remained stable at ₹131 crore.

As of 10:15 am, Jupiter Wagons shares traded 4.54% higher at ₹335, outperforming the BSE 500 index which was trading on a flat note.
