JSW Energy share price: Shares of JSW Energy advanced 1.54% to an intra-day high of ₹529.60 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday, September 12, after the company announced that it commissioned a renewable energy capacity of 317 MW during August 2025.

Post this, the energy company’s installed capacity stands at 13,097 MW, it said in a regulatory filing dated Thursday.

The stock was trading 0.86% higher at ₹526.05 per equity share on the NSE at 11:06 am.

JSW Energy said it has diversified its capacity addition across generation sources, from Hydro (Kutehr) at 240 MW, wind at 43 MW, to solar at 34 MW.

With the commissioning, the share of renewables in its overall capacity increases to 57%, comprising wind capacity at 3,617 MW, solar capacity at 2,192 MW, and hydro capacity at 1,631 MW, it said.

This capacity addition will enable JSW Energy to benefit from the peak renewable generation season during the year and contribute to overall renewable output.

The Mumbai-headquartered firm has a total locked-in generation capacity of 30.3 GW, comprising 13.1 GW operational, 12.7 GW under construction across thermal and renewable, and has a pipeline of 4.6 GW, it added.

The company also has 29.4 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through hydro pumped storage projects of 26.4 GWh and a battery energy storage system of 3.0 GWh.

The firm aims to reach 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY30 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, it stated.

JSW Energy Q1 result

The company reported a 42.43% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹743.12 crore in the first quarter of FY26. In the same period a year ago, it stood at ₹521.76 crore.

Its revenue from operations surged 78.62% to ₹5,143.37 crore during the reporting quarter, compared to ₹2,879.46 crore in the June quarter of FY25.

At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation), also known as operating profit stood at ₹2,789 crore in Q1FY26, marking a jump of 96.82% YoY from ₹1,417 crore in the year-ago period. Its EBITDA margin grew to 54.23% from 49.22% YoY.
