Hitachi Energy India, Titan Company, Ola Electric among buzzing stocks as SENSEX, NIFTY50 trade flat in noon deals

The Indian benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, were trading flat with a positive bias during the afternoon session on Monday, August 10, supported by gains in capital market and realty stocks.

The SENSEX advanced as much as 0.2% to hit an intraday high of 78,676.98. Meanwhile, the NIFTY50 grew as much as 0.2% to touch the session’s peak of 24,620.95.

At 1:10 PM, the markets were off their day’s high, as it traded flat with a positive bias. The S&P BSE SENSEX rose by 25.73 points, or 0.03%, to trade at 78,524.91. NSE’s NIFTY50 stood at 24,579.25, marking an 8.60-point, or 0.035%, increase.

Ola Electric Mobility

Shares of Ola Electric Mobility declined as much as 5.4% to hit an intraday low of ₹38.85 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday, August 10, as investors focused on the subdued volumes, lower margins, higher competition and cash burn concerns in the upcoming period despite the EV maker reducing Q1 FY27 losses.

Although company management said the firm aims to focus on margin expansion and reduce cash burn in the upcoming period, market analysts predict cash burn concerns will persist amid negative cash flow.

Last week on Friday, Ola Electric Mobility’s April to June quarter earnings report for FY27 showed that the consolidated net losses narrowed to ₹336 crore, compared year-on-year (YoY) with ₹428 crore in the same period a year earlier.

Hitachi Energy India

The stock of Hitachi Energy India rallied as much as 10.7% to hit the session’s peak of ₹36,075 per equity share on the NSE, as its net profit in the April-June period surged 123% to ₹294 crore from ₹132 crore in the same period last year on the back of a surge in electrification in the country.

Its revenue from operations rose 69% to ₹2,494 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year from ₹1,479 crore a year earlier.

The Bengaluru-based company reported strong operational performance as its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose 135% to ₹364 crore and its EBITDA margin improved by 4.1 percentage points to 14.58% at the end of the June quarter.

Titan Company

Titan Company’s stock climbed as much as 3.7% to hit its all-time high level of ₹5,122.20 per equity share on the NSE on August 10, after the firm posted robust June quarter (Q1 FY27) earnings.

Titan Managing Director Ajoy Chawla, in the earnings call, said that the growth momentum witnessed in the first quarter of the current fiscal has continued in July, adding that the company is on course to deliver the improvement targets after a strong start this fiscal year.

"The growth we have seen in the first quarter, and we are also seeing that July is not bad. I am seeing a certain positivity so far in the last four months," Chawla said, addressing analysts after the company's June quarter earnings.

It reported a 63% jump in consolidated net profit to ₹1,777 crore for Q1 FY27 as compared to ₹1,091 crore in the same period last year.

Vedanta Aluminium Metal

Vedanta Aluminium Metal shares jumped as much as 1.8% to touch an intraday high of ₹478.70 apiece on August 10, after the company said on Friday, in post-market hours, that its subsidiary, Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), has been declared the ‘Preferred Bidder’ for the Karlapat bauxite block in Odisha.

The development strengthens Vedanta Aluminium’s raw material security and aligns with its strategy of deepening backward integration, it said.

State Bank of India

The stock of State Bank of India (SBI) opened higher on Monday, August 10, to reach an intraday high of ₹1,113.30 apiece following strong Q1 FY27 earnings. However, it lost momentum later and slipped nearly 2% to touch an intraday low of ₹1,076.20 apiece.

The country’s largest bank reported a net profit of ₹21,121 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year, marking an increase of 10% from ₹19,160 crore in the same period last year.

The bank's net interest income (NII), or the difference between interest earned on loans and expended on deposits, rose 12% to ₹46,992 crore in the April-June period compared with ₹41,907 crore in the year-ago period.

Universal Cables

Shares of Universal Cables gained as much as 20% to hit a record high of ₹1,693.40 per unit on the NSE on Monday, after the company announced robust growth and provided strong guidance for FY27.

On a standalone basis, the company’s revenue jumped 57% YoY to ₹945 crore, up from ₹600 crore in the same period last year, driven by higher sales volumes, an improved product mix and sustained momentum in the Extra-High Voltage (EHV) cable business.

It was also bolstered by strong growth in the capacitors and allied power quality solution business.

At the operating level, its EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹94.5 crore as compared to ₹60 crore in the same period last year. The EBITDA margin largely remained unchanged owing to raw material cost pressures.

Lastly, the net profit for the quarter soared to ₹37.8 crore as compared to ₹19.5 crore in the same period last year, registering a growth of 90% YoY.

Ramco Systems

The stock of Ramco Systems hit its 5% upper circuit, as Royal Jordanian Airlines, the National carrier of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, \selected its subsidiary Ramco Systems FZ - LLC’s next-generation Aviation Software to support its next phase of growth, following a comprehensive evaluation of global aviation software solutions.

Ramco will provide its digital enablers including digital task cards, mobility and dashboards, tailored to Royal Jordanian’s operations that will enhance agility through real-time visibility and enable paperless operations, according to a regulatory filing.

“Ramco Aviation Software will integrate seamlessly with Royal Jordanian’s existing IT landscape, ensuring a seamless flow of data across all functions,” it said.

It will also provide Royal Jordanian with a single, unified digital platform that will enhance operational efficiency and ensure control and compliance through centralised technical documentation and audit-ready reporting.

Raymond Realty

Shares of Raymond Realty dropped as much as 10.9% to hit an intraday low of ₹615 per unit on the NSE, after the realty firm reported a 19% decline in its consolidated net profit to ₹13.43 crore for Q1 FY27 on higher operational expenses. Its profit stood at $16.50 crore in the year-ago period.

The total income, however, rose to ₹535.71 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal from ₹391.86 crore logged in the corresponding period of the preceding year, according to a regulatory filing.

Raymond Realty reported sales bookings of ₹700 crore in Q1 FY27 compared to ₹306 crore in the year-ago period.
