Fino Payments Bank shares rally 17% as average total deposits rise 13% YoY to ₹2,794 crore in Q2; check business updates

Fino Payments Bank share price: Shares of Fino Payments Bank rallied as much as 16.8% to hit an intraday high of ₹150.40 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday, October 8, compared with Wednesday’s closing price of ₹128.76 apiece.

This comes as the Bank posted its business updates for the July-September quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q2 FY27), reporting a 13% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its average total deposits to ₹2,794 crore during the quarter.

In the second quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q2 FY26), the Bank had clocked average total deposits of ₹2,480 crore, according to a regulatory filing.

It saw its renewable income rise 20% YoY to ₹28 crore in Q2 FY27, as against ₹23.3 crore in the same period last year.

Fino Payments Bank, however, recorded a 17% YoY fall in the number of accounts opened to 2.45 lakh (or 2,44,763) for the reporting period, compared with 2.95 lakh (or 2,94,846) in the September quarter of FY26.

Its digitally active customers stood at 64.9 lakh in the second quarter of FY27, marking a 13% YoY increase from 57.3 lakh in the year-ago period.

The Bank saw a 12% YoY jump in FinoPay Active customers to 8.1 lakh for the quarter, up from 7.2 lakh in Q2 FY26.

Its transaction business throughput declined 10% YoY to ₹3,469 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, in comparison to ₹3,866 crore in the same period last year.

However, its cash management system (CMS) throughput advanced 10% YoY to ₹6,918 crore from ₹6,281 crore.

Fino Payments Bank share performance

At around 10:54 AM, the stock of Fino Payments Bank stood at ₹146.33 per equity share, up by 11.24%.

The scrip has soared more than 11% in the past week and 2% over the month. However, on a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has declined over 44%.

While the shares hit a 52-week high of ₹339 apiece on October 21, 2025, they touched a year’s low of ₹110.03 per unit on March 25, 2026.
