Naukri shares pare early gains after reporting steady growth in Q2 billings growth

Shares of leading recruitment and matrimony services provider Infoedge Ltd (Naukri) jumped 2% in the opening session on Thursday after the company announced robust business updates for the quarter and six months ended September 2026. However, the shares pared back all the gains and traded in the red, down 0.9% at ₹1,208 apiece, after hitting intraday high of ₹1,253 apiece on the NSE.

The company declared Q2 and six-month business update through exchange filing on Thursday morning. The company delivered allround robust billings growth for the quarter and six month ending September 2026 across all verticals except for Shiksha.

The recruitment solutions, which operates under the brand of Naukri posted 12.6% YoY to ₹613 crore for the quarter ending September, 2026 as compared to ₹545 crore in the same quarter last year. On the six month basis, the vertical posted even stronger growth of 14.9% YoY to ₹1166 crore as against ₹1015 crore in the same period last year.

The real-estate vertical, operating with the brand of 99acres billings surged 21.2% YoY, the most amongst all at ₹148 crore for the quarter ended September 2026 vs. ₹122 crore for the same quarter last year. Similarly, on six-month basis, the billings jumped 19.2% YoY to ₹258 crore as compared to ₹216 crore in the same period last year. “The platform's share of category traffic remained stable, with web time-share of 49% and app time-share of 59% for July and August 2026”, said the company.

The matchmaking solutions vertical, Jeevansathi’s billings jumped 18.4% YoY to ₹39 crore as compared to ₹33.5 crore in the same period last year. For the six months ended September, 2026, the billings jumped 16.3% YoY to ₹79 crore as compared to ₹68.2 crore in the same period last year

The education vertical, operating under Shiksha brand, saw 27.2% YoY degrowth in billings at ₹20.5 crore as compared to ₹28.2 crore in the same period.

At the standalone level, the combined billings grew 12.8% YoY to ₹822 crore as compared to ₹729 crore in the same period last year.

The shares of Infoedge (India) Ltd have delivered -9.1% returns in 2026 on a YTD basis and -10.9% returns in the trailing twelve months period. The shares currently trade 34.8% lower from its record high levels, delivering all round poor performance.
