For a transaction to be classified as a block deal, the trade has to be a minimum of ₹10 crore via a single transaction on a particular trading day. However, these high-volume transactions are only reserved for non-retail investors due to the sheer size and quantity of the trade.

In case of bulk deals, a transaction will qualify as a bulk deal if the trade is more than 0.5% of the company’s outstanding shares listed on the stock exchange, which is bought or sold in a period of a trading session.
