At 12:47 PM, the S&P BSE SENSEX was trading at 81,449.13 levels, down 370.99 points, or 0.45%. The broader NSE NIFTY50 index was trading at 24,946.60 levels, down 110.75 points, or 0.44%.

BSE: Shares of the stock exchange slipped as much as 7.5% to ₹4,419.90 apiece on the NSE after global brokerage Jefferies, in its latest note, said that the BSE stock's valuation seems stretched and fails to capture the risks from the higher impact of the F&O framework on the overall market. Investors might be overoptimistic with their assumption of large market-share gains, added the brokerage.
PNC Infratech: The stock was trading over 4% higher at ₹465.60 apiece on the NSE after the company announced it has received Letters of Acceptance (LoA) from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) for two road projects for a total value of ₹4,630 crore.
Rallis India:
Rallis India shares hit a record high of ₹373.80 apiece on the BSE on Wednesday, October 15, a day after the company reported a good set of numbers for the September 2024 quarter (Q2 FY25).The company on Tuesday reported a 19.51% growth in its net profit for the quarter under review at ₹98 crore compared to ₹82 crore in the year-ago period.
HDFC AMC: Shares of
HDFC Asset Management Company jumped as much as 6.58% to hit a record high of ₹4,848 apiece on the BSE, a day after the company released its September quarter (Q2 FY25) numbers.
The company on Tuesday reported a 32% year-on-year growth in profit after tax (PAT) to ₹576.61 crore for the quarter under review.
Its total income rose 38% to ₹1,058.19 crore from ₹765.35 crore logged in the year-ago period.
HDFC Life: Shares of HDFC Life rose as much as 2.46% to ₹732 apiece on the BSE after the company on Tuesday reported a 14.85% increase in net profit to ₹433 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal year.
The net premium rose to ₹16,570 crore during the quarter from ₹14,756 crore in the year-ago period.
RailTel: The company has received an order from the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. The size of the order is ₹79.8 crore. The stock was trading at ₹439.10, up 7.60% on the BSE.
KEI Industries: Shares of KEI Industries were trading over 8% lower at ₹4,298.85 apiece on the BSE after the company's Q2 result declaration.
The company, as per reports, reported a 10.41% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹154.81 crore in Q2 FY25 as against ₹140.21 crore posted in Q2 FY24.
Revenue from operations jumped 17.21% YoY to ₹2,279.65 crore in Q2 FY25. The Q2 numbers were below Street estimates.
Godrej Properties: The stock was trading 1.8% higher at ₹3,202.65 on the BSE after the realty company today announced it has emerged as the highest bidder to develop a group housing project at a premium location in Sector 5-A, Kharghar, according to the e-auction portal of City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO).
Infosys: The stock was trading over 1% lower at ₹1,937 on the BSE. The IT services giant is slated to announce its Q2 results tomorrow, October 17.
Trent: The share price of
Trent was trading nearly 3.5% lower at ₹7,841.50 apiece on the BSE. The company recently announced the pilot launch of its new lab-grown diamond (LGD) brand, ‘Pome,’ in Westside stores.
