India’s oldest bourse, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on Wednesday, March 26, announced that its Board of Directors will consider issuing bonus shares at a meeting scheduled for Sunday, March 30.
“The ‘Trading Window’ for dealing in securities of the Company will remain closed from Wednesday, March 26, 2025, till Tuesday, April 1, 2025 (both days inclusive),” BSE said.
It will continue to keep the trading window closed for insiders beginning Tuesday, April 2, till 48 hours after the March quarter results are declared, BSE said in a regulatory filing to the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The date of the board meeting in regards to the fourth quarter results will be announced separately, BSE added.
Shares of BSE closed in the red at ₹4,474.70 apiece, down 3.80% on the NSE on Wednesday. To be sure, the announcement was made after market hours.
The stock has lost 6.38% over the past three days and 3.43% since the beginning of March. It has fallen 15.97% on a year-to-date basis.
The scrip hit its 52-week high of ₹6,133.40 on January 20, 2025, and a low of ₹2,115.00 on July 23, 2024.
BSE’s net profit for the third quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year (Q3FY25) stood at ₹218.59 crore, rising 105.7% from ₹106.27 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Its revenue from operations jumped 93.73% to a record high of ₹853.42 crore in the period under review, compared to ₹431.35 crore in the December quarter of the last fiscal year (Q3FY24).
Its average daily turnover in Q3FY25 stood at ₹6,800 crore, an increase from ₹6,643 crore in the year-ago period.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has a total market capitalisation of ₹60,702.76 crore as of March 26, 2025, on the NSE.
