BHEL has received one order from Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd and another from Adani Energy.
Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) surged over 2% on Monday, February 10, as the company bagged two big orders over the weekend.
The state-owned firm has received one order from Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd and another from Adani Energy.
On Sunday, BHEL and Hitachi Energy India Limited (HEIL) received another order from Rajasthan Part I Power Transmission Limited, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) under Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, via a letter of intent, to establish power terminal stations in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
BHEL announced that they received a letter of intent and an official contract will be subject to be executed at a later date.
“Letter of Intent is received from Rajasthan Part I Power Transmission Limited, by the Consortium of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Hitachi Energy India Limited (HEIL) to design and execute the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) link along with associated AC substations to transmit renewable energy from Bhadla III (Rajasthan) and Fatehpur (Uttar Pradesh) and shall be subject to the Contract to be executed at a later date,” BHEL said in an exchange filing on Sunday.
The order is expected to be completed by 2030.
Shares of Hitachi Energy India were trading 0.66% lower on BSE, at ₹12,192.85. Meanwhile, shares of Adani Energy were trading at ₹760.30 apiece, losing 1.76%.
BHEL on Saturday secured an order worth ₹8,000 crore from Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (Mahagenco). The order is for a 2x660 (1320) MW BTG (boiler turbine generator) package of Koradi Thermal Power Station which includes the supply of equipment, erection & commissioning, and civil works, a BSE filing stated.
BHEL received the Letter of Award from MAHAGENCO on February 7, 2025, for the BTG package of Koradi Thermal Power Station in Nagpur district of Maharashtra, it added.
The order is expected to be completed by 52-58 months from the award of the date of Letter of Award, it added.
