Bharti Airtel is set to release its January to March quarter results for the financial year ended 2025-26 on Wednesday, May 13.
Bharti Airtel’s board of directors, in an exchange filing, disclosed that the telecom major will reorganise its shareholding framework in the company's subsidiaries, including Airtel Africa Plc., in the upcoming quarterly meeting scheduled this week, according to an exchange filing.
In the BSE filing, Bharti Airtel said that in its scheduled meeting on May 13, 2026, the board will reorganise its shareholding, which is likely to result in the consolidation of shares of subsidiaries in the upcoming period.
“Reorganisation of shareholding framework of subsidiary company(ies) including Airtel Africa plc, which may result in consolidation/ acquisition of shares of such subsidiary company(ies), the consideration of which may be discharged through issuance of equity shares of the Company on a preferential basis and/ or cash,” the company informed the stock exchanges.
Bharti Airtel’s board of directors are also set to consider and recommend/declare any dividend issue for its shareholders for the financial year ended 2025-26, according to an exchange filing.
NSE data showed that Bharti Airtel has paid a dividend of ₹16 per share to shareholders back in July 2025, and is expected to pay a second dividend payment if approved in the upcoming quarterly meeting.
Bharti Airtel’s Africa business is the second-largest revenue-generating segment for the company, which has significantly grown over the recent quarters.
The December quarter results for the financial year ended 2025-26 showed that Bharti Airtel’s mobile services business in Africa recorded a 40% rise in revenues to ₹15,010 crore, compared year-on-year with ₹10,703 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The profits from the Africa business jumped 59.6% YoY to ₹5,069 crore in the third quarter, compared to ₹3,176 crore in the same period a year earlier, as per the consolidated financial statements.
Bharti Airtel is also set to release its January to March quarter results for the financial year ended 2025-26 on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Investors' focus will remain on the recalibration of the shareholding pattern, considering Airtel Africa contributes to a major portion of the company's revenues.
Bharti Airtel shares closed 0.43% higher at ₹1,834.50 after Friday’s trading session last week, compared to ₹1,826.60 at the previous market close, according to NSE data. The company announced its plans over the weekend.
Shares of Bharti Airtel have delivered over 226% returns in the last five years, and 132% gains in the past three years. However, the telecom major’s shares lost 0.74% over the last one year period, according to the exchange data.
So far in 2026, Bharti Airtel’s stock has lost 13% and nearly 2% in the past one month. The stock was up 0.42% in the last five market sessions.
Bharti Airtel’s market capitalisation (M-cap) was at over 11.17 lakh crore as of Friday’s market close.
