The defence Navratna PSU firm on Thursday had bagged additional orders worth ₹732 crore since the last disclosure on October 22, 2025.
The major orders received include Software Defined Radios (SDRs), tank subsystems, communication equipment, missile components, financial management software, cyber security solutions, upgrades, spares, services and others.
BEL in a regulatory filing said the Software Defined Radios (SDRs) are the first fully indigenous radios, jointly designed and developed with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and manufactured by BEL. These SDRs are interoperable with existing and legacy radios, enabling a seamless transition between technologies.
The firm added that the advanced SDRs will provide secure, real-time communication capabilities and enhance the Indian Army’s operational readiness in a network-centric battlefield environment.
Last week, the defence PSU received an order worth ₹633 crore from Cochin Shipyard for the supply of components required for various sensors, weapon systems, fire control systems, and communication equipment provided by BEL.

On September 29, BEL secured additional orders worth ₹1,092 crore since the last disclosure on September 16, 2025. Major orders received include EW System Upgrade, Defence Network Upgrade, Tank Sub Systems, TR Modules, Communication Equipment, EVM, Spares, Services, etc.
On September 16, 2025, BEL secured additional orders worth ₹712 crore since the last disclosure on September 1, 2025. Major orders received include IT Infra & Cyber Security Solution, ESM Systems, Block Chain Solution Platform, Communication Equipment, Spares, Services, etc.
In August 2025, BEL and Centum Electronics Limited (CENTUM), a global provider of Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) solutions, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the design, development and manufacturing of advanced electronic modules, subsystems and systems for defence electronics specifically targeting critical technology domains such as Electronic Warfare (EW), radar systems and secure military communications.
This strategic partnership aims to strengthen efforts towards fostering indigenous design and production capabilities in advanced technology domains critical to national defence.
The state-run aerospace and defence electronics player had recorded a 22.61% increase in its consolidated net profit attributable to owners of the company at ₹969.91 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2025-26. It had posted a post-tax profit of ₹791 crore a year back.
Its revenue from operations climbed 4.62% to ₹4,439.74 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to ₹4,243.57 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.
BEL's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at ₹1,238 crore in the April-June quarter of the current fiscal year, as against ₹948 crore a year. This reflects a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 30.59%. The EBITDA margin was at 27.89% vs 22.34% a year back.
