Bank of India shares jump 3% as global business grows 17% YoY; gross advances rise to ₹8 lakh crore

Bank of India share price: Shares of Bank of India climbed as much as 2.7% to hit an intraday high of ₹145.45 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday, July 2, after it posted a 16.58% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its global business to ₹17.56 lakh crore in the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27).

In the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, it had logged a global business of ₹15.06 lakh crore, according to a regulatory filing.

At around 2:22 PM, the stock was trading 1.64% higher at ₹143.96 per equity share. The scrip has gained 5% over the month but lost 2% on a year-to-date basis.

While the scrip hit a 52-week high of ₹178.36 apiece on February 27, 2026, it touched a year’s low of ₹108.81 on August 1, 2025.

The Bank reported a 14.92% YoY growth in its global deposits to ₹9.58 lakh crore during the quarter under review, compared with ₹8.34 lakh crore in the June quarter of the 2025-26 financial year (Q1 FY26).

Its domestic deposits stood at ₹8.25 lakh crore in Q1 FY27, marking a 16.17% YoY increase from ₹7.10 lakh crore in the year-ago period.

The Bank recorded an 18.64% YoY increase in its global gross advances to ₹7.98 lakh crore for the reporting quarter, as against ₹6.72 lakh crore in the first quarter of FY26.

Its domestic gross advances saw a 19.12% YoY jump to ₹6.73 lakh crore in Q1 FY27, in comparison to ₹5.65 lakh crore in the same period last year.

Bank of India’s domestic gross Retail, Agriculture, and MSME (RAM) advances stood at ₹3.93 lakh crore in the June quarter of the current fiscal year, reflecting a 19.69% YoY rise from ₹3.28 lakh crore in Q1 of FY26.
