The primary markets have witnessed an action-packed year so far, with investors getting a good amount of returns by investing in initial public offerings. According to a study by Prime Database, investors have gained 41.8% on an average from the 38 IPOs that got listed in the first half of the financial year 2025 (H1FY25).
SME IPOs have given even higher returns to investors, who made an average gain of 92% during the same period, the study said. The average listing gain increased to 34.28% in the first half of FY25 as against 28.65% in the first half of FY24.
According to the Prime Database study, 30 out of the 38 mainboard IPOs listed so far have given listing gains of over 10%.
The IPO frenzy is also not going to end here as many more companies are gearing up to enter the primary market in coming months. In September, as many as 41 companies filed their offer documents for IPOs with capital market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
Here is a look at how the stocks of some recently-listed companies have performed so far:
Bajaj Housing Finance
Bajaj Housing Finance shares made a stellar debut at ₹150 apiece on the NSE and BSE with a premium of 114% to the issue price on September 16. Two days later on September 18, the shares surged to their lifetime high, trading at ₹188.5 apiece on the NSE.
However, the Bajaj Group stock is currently trading below the listing price at 136.17 apiece on the NSE. Shares of Bajaj Housing Finance dropped up to 9% to hit an intraday low of ₹137.01 apiece on Monday, October 7.
Ola Electric
Ola Electric IPO stocks slumped 9.55% on the NSE on Monday to touch an intraday low of ₹89.55 per share, its lowest since IPO listing. Shares of Ola Electric listed flat on the bourses at ₹76 apiece but closed at ₹91 apiece on the NSE on August 6.
The stock has corrected 43% from its all-time high of ₹157.4 on the NSE. Its currently trading at ₹91.98 apiece.
Brainbees Solutions (FirstCry)
Shares of
Brainbees Solutions were listed at a 40% premium at ₹651 apiece on the NSE on August 13 over the issue price of ₹465 per share. The shares touched an all-time high of ₹707.7 apiece after listing. However, the stock price has since consolidated. On Monday, the stock nosedived 4.1% to an intraday low of ₹625.8 apiece on the NSE.
Unicommerce eSolutions
Unicommerce eSolutions shares more-than-doubled investors’ wealth as it debuted at ₹235 per share on the NSE, at a premium of 117.59% over the issue price of ₹108 apiece, on August 13. The stock touched an all-time high of ₹263.99 apiece on August 20. However, at the current price of ₹197.46 apiece on the NSE, the stock has fallen 16% since listing.
Arkade Developers
Shares of
Arkade Developers were listed at a premium of 36.7% on the NSE at ₹175 per share against the issue price of ₹128 on September 24. The shares touched their all-time low of ₹139.47 on Monday, October 7, days after hitting an all-time high of ₹190 apiece. The stock has slumped 20.3% over its listing price.
PN Gadgil Jewellers
Shares of
PN Gadgil Jewellers on Monday, October 7, touched an intraday low of ₹695 apiece, down by 8.1% from its previous close. The stock has declined over 16% from its listing price. PN Gadgil Jeweller shares made market debut at nearly 73% premium at ₹830 per share on the NSE over the issue price on September 17.
Tolins Tyres
Tolins Tyres shares made a flat market debut at ₹228 apiece on the NSE compared to the issue price of ₹226 per share on September 16. The stock posted an all-time low of ₹178.5 on October 7, registering a decline of 21.71% from its listing price.
Gala Precision Engineering
Shares of
Gala Precision Engineering touched an intraday low of ₹728.2 apiece on the NSE on Monday, down by 5.83% from its previous close of ₹773.8 apiece. Gala Precision Engineering shares had made a debut at ₹721.1 apiece, at a premium of 36.31% over the issue price on September 9. The stock touched an all-time high of ₹870 apiece on September 27.
At its current price of ₹734.1 apiece on the NSE the stock has gained 1.8% from its listing price.
Northern Arc Capital
Northern Arc Capital shares plunged up to 7.81% on the NSE to hit an all-time low at ₹269.5 apiece on Monday. The shares debuted at a 33.5% premium on the NSE at ₹350 apiece and posted their all-time high of ₹350 on September 24. The stock has fallen 23% from its listing price.
Kross Limited
Shares of
Kross Limited made a flat debut, listing at ₹240 apiece on the NSE, on September 16. The stock gained as much as 11.4% to hit an intraday high of ₹270.89 apiece on the listing day. Kross shares posted their all-time low of ₹186.32 on October 7, down by over 22% from its listing price.
