The bank’s gross advances rose 22.7% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹13.85 lakh crore while it advanced 8.8% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).
Its total deposits (end balance) increased 20.7% YoY and 5.8% sequentially to ₹14.52 lakh crore. The lender’s current account savings account (CASA) deposits stood at ₹5.30 lakh crore, rising 10.6% yearly and 1.5% QoQ. Its term deposits jumped 27.3% year-on-year and 8.4% quarter-on-quarter to ₹9.23 lakh crore.
The bank’s quarterly average total deposits rose 22.5% year-on-year and 7% sequentially to ₹13.96 lakh crore. Its quarterly average CASA stood at ₹4.94 lakh crore, while average term deposits stood at ₹9.02 lakh crore.
As of September 30, 2026, pursuant to the swap facility for FCNR (B) deposits introduced by the Reserve Bank of India earlier during the year, Axis Bank said it has mobilised FCNR (B) deposits aggregating ₹1.02 lakh crore ($10.62 billion).
The bank said loans extended by its international branches to customers as a leveraging facility for placing deposits stood at ₹43,800 crore.
Excluding these loans, gross advances would have grown 18.8% YoY and 5.3% QoQ, while total deposits would have increased 17.0% YoY and 2.6% QoQ. Term deposits would have grown 21.3% YoY and 3.2% QoQ as of September 30, 2026.
“Further, standby letters of credit issued by the Bank in favour of other banks in respect of loans against FCNR (B) deposits aggregated to USD 4.69 billion (₹449 billion),” Axis Bank said.
The third-largest private sector bank had recorded more than a 22% rise in net profits in the April to June quarter of the financial year ending 2026-27, as the institutional lender’s provisions declined against an increase in overall net interest income.
Axis Bank’s standalone net profit after tax (PAT) advanced 22.5% to ₹7,114 crore in the June quarter of the financial year ended 2026-27, compared year-on-year with ₹5,806 crore in the same period a year ago.
The data also showed that the private sector lender’s net interest income (NII) rose 9.4% to ₹33,985 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, compared with ₹31,063 crore in the same period a year earlier, as per the financial statements.
Axis Bank’s provision for bad loans declined 43.6% to ₹2,222.54 crore in the period under review, from its ₹3,947.66 crore levels in the same quarter of the previous financial year.
From the beginning of the year, Axis Bank shares have fallen 4%. Over a month’s time, the stock has slipped 3%, while for a six-month period, it has lost 2%.
On Monday, Axis Bank shares settled at ₹1,222.2 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, rising 0.42%.
Shares of the lender had hit a 52-week high of ₹1,418.30 on February 3, 2026, and a 52-week low of ₹1,131 on October 1, 2025.
According to NSE data, as of October 5, 2026, Axis Bank has a total market capitalisation of ₹3.81 lakh crore.
