Astra Microwave Products shares plunge 9% as Q1 FY27 results disappoint investors; check all numbers

Astra Microwave Products shares plunged 9% to touch an intraday low of ₹1,675 apiece on Monday, August 10, after the company reported its June quarter earnings.

The aerospace and defence firm reported a 25% decline in its consolidated net profit at ₹12 crore for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (Q1 FY27) as compared to ₹16 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s revenue from operations dropped 12% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹177 crore in the April-June period from ₹200 crore in the year-ago period.

The operating profit, also known as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), slipped 17% annually to ₹34 crore as against ₹41 crore in Q1 FY26. Its operating profit margin also contracted to 19.03% in contrast to 20.38% on a yearly basis.

As of June 30, 2026, Astra Microwave said its Group and joint ventures order book stood at ₹2,849.09 crore, which includes ₹243.67 crore pertaining to service orders. However, the orders booked during the period from April to June are ₹431.91 crore.

Furthermore, the company said that S. Gurunatha Reddy will cease to be its Managing Director and Director with effect from the close of business hours on September 30, 2026. The reason behind the change comes as Reddy has taken responsibility to oversee the demerger of the company and focus on establishing the resulting firm.

It also added that there are no material reasons for Reddy’s resignation other than those stated in his resignation letter.

Last month, the company had bagged an order worth ₹2205.23 crore which included the procurement of 122 numbers of AAAU and 121 interface frames for the Uttam Radar.

At 1:40 PM, Astra Microwave shares were trading at ₹1,700.7 apiece on NSE, falling 7.57%. At close, the stock settled at ₹1,734.70 per share, declining 5.75%.

Over a month’s time, the stock has lost 6%, while it has surged 85% in the last six months. From the beginning of the year, Astra Microwave Products shares have rallied 73%.

Shares of the firm had hit a 52-week high of ₹1,960 on July 31, 2026, and a 52-week low of ₹851 on March 30, 2026.

According to NSE data, as of August 10, 2026, Astra Microwave has a total market capitalisation of ₹16,424.54 crore.
