Adani Green arm commissions 57.2 MW wind power generation in Khavda, shares rise

Adani Green Energy shares gained on Wednesday, after its step-down unit, Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight Ltd, commissioned a 57.2 megawatt (MW) wind power component of its wind-solar hybrid project in Gujarat's Khavda.

In the early trade, the stock rose 3.79% to ₹1,045 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The company's market capitalisation stands at ₹1,65,483.87 crore.

The company said in an exchange filing that the total operational renewable generation capacity of Adani Green has jumped to 11,666.1 MW since the commissioning of this plant.

"Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight Limited, a step-down subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has commissioned a 57.2 MW wind power component of its wind-solar hybrid project at Khavda, Gujarat," it said in a regulatory filing.

Based on the appropriate clearances, the company decided to operationalise the plant and start power generation from January 15.

Meanwhile, the company will announce its financial results for the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25 on January 23.

In Q2 FY25, the company reported a 38.8% increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹515 crore, up from ₹371 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal year.

Revenue from operations increased 16.3% to ₹2,308 crore in the latest July-September quarter as compared to ₹1,984 crore a year back.

EBITDA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) from power supply grew 17% to ₹2,143 crore against ₹1,835 crore in the same period year-ago.

Cash profit stood at ₹1,249 crore, reflecting a 21% year-on-year (YoY) jump.
