ABB India shares gain as firm bags order worth ₹174 crore from Siemens Gamesa Renewable

ABB India shares gained over 1.19% to touch their intraday high of ₹5,060.50 apiece on Friday, August 29, after the firm secured an order worth ₹173.55 crore to manufacture and supply wind turbine converters from Siemens Gamesa Renewable Power.

The order is a 'supply order' for the manufacture and supply of 3.X wind turbine converters and electrical cabinets on a build-to-print basis, which will be conducted from the factory premises of ABB India at Nelamangala, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The execution of the domestic order involves monthly deliveries starting from January 2026, which will continue until December 2026. The size of the order stands at ₹173.55 crore.

Following this, shares of ABB India were trading higher. Last seen, the stock was trading at ₹5,025 per share on the National Stock Exchange, rising 0.49%.

Over the last five trading days, shares of the company have lost almost 1%. For a month’s period, it has tumbled over 10%.

Since February 28, 2025, which is six months, shares of the firm have climbed 2%. Year-to-date, it has declined 27.6%.

The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹1.06 lakh crore.

Shares of the firm had touched their one-year high of ₹8,940.60 apiece on October 16, 2024, while their 52-week low of ₹4,684.45 was hit on April 7, 2025.

ABB India Q1 earnings

Electrification and automation major had posted a 20% fall in net profit to ₹352 crore during the June quarter compared to the year-ago period, primarily due to the impact of forex volatility and higher expenses.

The company had reported a profit after tax of ₹443 crore in the same quarter of 2024. The company follows a January-December financial year.

According to an ABB India statement, the company achieved a revenue of ₹3,175 crore for the second quarter, higher than ₹2,831 crore in the same period a year ago.

The company's total expenditure jumped to ₹2,801.1 crore in Q2 CY2025 from ₹2,323.9 crore a year ago.

ABB India's cash position continues to remain robust at ₹5,154 crore at the end of Q2 2025.

Total orders were at ₹3,036 crore for Q2 CY2025, down from ₹3,435 crore in April-June 2024 due to the impact of large order timing, while base orders increased.
