MSCI India May rejig: Coromandel Int'l, Nykaa added to MSCI Global Standard Indexes, GMR Airports added to India index; check full list

Global index provider market MSCI, in a statement on Wednesday, May 14, said it has added companies like Coromandel International and Nykaa parent FSN E-Commerce Ventures to its MSCI Global Standard Indexes list.

Coromandel International, along with GMR Airports, was also added to the MSCI India Index. Coromandel International has been removed from the MSCI India Domestic Small Cap Index but added to the MSCI Global Standard Indexes as well.

However, there have been no deletions taking place from the MSCI Global Index this time.

“The following are changes in constituents for the MSCI India Domestic Index, which will take place as of the close of May 30, 2025,” MSCI said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the MSCI India Domestic Small Cap Index saw additions of 12 stocks in the May rejig. These include Acme Solar Holdings, Authum Investment, AWL Agri Business, Dr Agarwal’s Health Care, Godrej Agrovet, Hexaware Tech (New), International Gemmological Institute (India), Le Travenues Technology, Premier Energies, Sagility India, Sai Life Sciences and Sona BLW Precision.

As many as 21 securities were removed from the Small Cap Index. These are Aarti Drugs, All Cargo Logistics, Coromandel International, E2E Networks, Gateway Distriparks, Godrej Industries, Greenpanel Industries, Gujarat Alkalies & Chem, Heidelberg Cement India, Hemisphere Properties, Moschip Technologies, Nocil, Orchid Pharma, Orissa Mineral Dev, Paisalo Digital, Patel Engineering, Prince Pipes and Fittings, Rossari Biotech, Share India Securities, Shyam Metalics & Energy and Teamlease Services.

Meanwhile, Sona BLW Precision was removed from the MSCI Domestic Index but added to the MSCI India Domestic Small Cap Index.

Cipla, Indus Towers, UltraTech, Grasim and Vodafone Idea will see an increase in their weightage on the MSCI Standard Index, leading to an inflow worth up to $50 million. While stocks like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys and Bharti Airtel will see a reduction in their weightage.

Globally, 30 securities will be added, and 61 securities will be deleted from the MSCI ACWI Index. The three largest additions to the MSCI World Index measured by full company market capitalisation will be Ryanair Holdings (Ireland), Sigma Healthcare (Australia) and International Airlines Group (Spain).
