It received bids for 4,51,96,096 shares compared to 8,86,42,911 shares on offer, according to the NSE data until 10:47 am.

The quota for non-institutional investors (NIIs) was subscribed 89%, and the retail individual investors portion was booked 53%. The category for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) attracted 19% subscription.

The initial share sale is only an offer for sale of 12.64 crore shares by shareholders, including State Bank of India, SBI Capital Markets, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Aranda Investments (Mauritius), The New India Assurance Company, MS Strategic (Mauritius), Bank of Baroda, General Insurance Corporation of India, Stock Holding Corporation of India and United India Insurance Company.

Before the IPO, the exchange raised ₹6,746 crore from anchor investors, including Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, GIC Singapore, Norges Bank, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Eastspring and HSBC Global Asset Management.

With a price band of ₹1,700 to ₹1,785 per share, a lot consists of eight shares and in multiples thereof.

The reduction in the offer for sale size from the earlier 14.9 crore equity shares has brought down the overall issue size from the initial estimate of around ₹30,000 crore. Still, the NSE IPO is the second-largest public issue in India after Hyundai Motor's ₹27,870-crore IPO in 2024.
