LEAP India IPO booked 49% on Day 2, QIBs lead; check all category wise subscription, other key details

IPO day 2: The initial public offering (IPO) of LEAP India continued to see a lukewarm response on the second day of subscription, with a total booking of 49% by the end of Monday, August 10.

Until 5 PM, the ₹2,480 crore IPO of the supply chain asset pooling firm had received bids for 5,62,11,154 shares as compared to 11,49,91,735 shares on offer, as per exchange data.

The non-institutional investor (NII) category was subscribed 0.5 times, while the retail individual investor (RII) segment saw 0.41 times subscription. However, the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) portion was booked 0.61 times.

The issue, which has set a price band of ₹151 to ₹159 per share, will conclude on August 11.

The initial share sale is a combination of a fresh issue of equity shares totalling ₹480 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹2,000 crore by promoters KIA EBT Scheme 3 and Vertical Holdings II Pte Ltd.

Proceeds from the fresh issue to the tune of ₹360 crore will be used towards debt repayment, while the remaining funds will be utilised for general corporate purposes.

LEAP India IPO lot size

A lot consists of 94 shares and in multiples thereafter. Half of the issue is reserved for qualified institutional buyers, while 35% is kept aside for retail investors. The company has reserved 15% of the net offer for non-institutional investors.

Before the IPO, the firm allotted 4.68 crore shares worth ₹743.62 crore to 32 anchor investors, including Smallcap World Fund, Monetary Authority of Singapore, Norway's Government Pension Fund Global, Morgan Stanley India Investment Fund, Goldman Sachs Investments (Mauritius), Amundi Funds New Silk Road, Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius, Societe Generale, Axis Mutual Fund, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, JM Financial Mutual Fund, ITI Mutual Fund, Bank of India Mutual Fund, Groww Mutual Fund, and Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance.
