Tata Motors share price declines on SPV incorporation ahead of Q4 results

Tata Motors share price: Shares of commercial vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors Ltd declined on Wednesday, May 13, as the company incorporated a special purpose vehicle (SPV), called Teesta Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd (TREPL). This development comes ahead of the Q4 results announcement today.

The stock was trading 0.39% lower at ₹385.55 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 1:56 pm. Its market capitalisation stands at ₹1,42,137.99 crore.

The stock had recorded its 52-week high of ₹509 per share on February 27, 2026, while its 52-week low of ₹306.30 apiece was reached on November 14, 2025.

The scrip has declined 10.18% in the past week and 10.19% in a month. Year-to-date, it has fell 9.76%.

In an exchange filing, Tata Motors said that it holds a 20% equity in the SPV and, consequently, TREPL has become its associate.

Welspun Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd is the holding company of TREPL, which has now become an associate of Tata Motors.

"TREPL is incorporated to carry out the business of power generation, including solar & wind power generation, and captive generation and sale of electrical energy," the regulatory filing said.

Tata Motors to announce Q4 results on May 13

A meeting of its board of directors of the Tata Group firm is scheduled to take place on May 13 to consider and approve financial results for the fourth quarter of FY26 and recommend a dividend, if any.

How did Tata Motors perform in Q3 FY26?

The company had posted a standalone net profit of ₹561 crore in the December quarter of FY26, down 60.40% compared to ₹1,417 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Its standalone revenue from operations surged 19.74% to ₹20,404 crore in Q3 FY26 as against ₹17,040 crore a year back.
