Shyam Metalics Q1 results: Net profit rises 18%; board approves fundraising plans, declares dividend for FY27

Q1 FY27 results: Shyam Metalics and Energy reported an 18% year-on-year (YoY) growth in consolidated net profit to ₹345 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, on Monday, July 20. In the corresponding quarter last year, the company had posted a net profit of ₹292 crore.

For Q1 FY27, the company’s revenue from operations increased 23% YoY to ₹5,455 crore as compared to ₹4,423 crore in Q1 FY26.

On the operational level, Shyam Metalics’ earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at ₹765 crore, marking a jump of 32% from ₹590 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The company’s EBITDA margin expanded to 14% in contrast to 13.1% YoY.

FY27 dividend details

Apart from the earnings, Shyam Metalics' board of directors has declared a first interim dividend of ₹1.80 per equity share, representing 18% of the face value of ₹10 each, for the financial year 2026–27.

The record date for determining shareholders’ eligibility for the dividend has been fixed as Friday, July 24, 2026. The company said that the payment of the interim dividend will be completed within 30 days from the date of declaration.

Fundraising plans

Shyam Metalics also said that it plans to raise up to ₹4,500 crore through qualified institutional placements (QIP) or other equity or equity-linked instruments using multiple fundraising routes. The company’s board has also approved the fundraising proposal, which may include convertible or non-convertible preference shares, as well as fully or partly convertible debentures. It added that the fundraising may be carried out in one or more tranches.

These include private placement (including one or more qualified institutional placements), further public offering, preferential issue, or a combination of these methods.

What management said

“We commenced Q1 FY27 on a strong footing, driven by disciplined execution, operational excellence, and the strength of our integrated business model,” said Brij Bhushan Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director of Shyam Metalics.

“We also achieved a significant operational milestone with the commencement of commercial production at our aluminium foil facility in Odisha, marking an important step in building a fully integrated downstream aluminium ecosystem. The Aluminium Flat Rolled Products facility remains on track for commissioning in the second quarter, while all major projects across our growth portfolio are progressing as planned and continue to advance within their targeted timelines,” Agarwal added.

Bhusan said that, backed by a strong financial position, a diversified portfolio, and a well-defined growth pipeline, the company is well positioned to capitalise on emerging opportunities and deliver sustainable long-term value to stakeholders.

Shyam Metalics share price trends

Following the earnings, Shyam Metalics and Energy shares jumped 6.6% to hit a 52-week high level of ₹1,090 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. At 12:58 PM, the stock was seen at ₹1,074.80 per share, surging 5.11%.

Over a month’s time, the stock has gained 12%, while the stock has rallied over 34% in six months. From the beginning of the year, Shyam Metalics and Energy shares have climbed 28%.

The company has a total market capitalisation of ₹29,950.85 crore, according to data on the NSE.
